You can’t. You have to play a new character.

You can import old offline saves from diablo 2 classic into D2R but only offline saves.

I dont see import button. I try create “Save” folder, but it dont work.
You need ot go to C:\Users\UserName\Saved Games
There will be 2 folders Diablo II and Diablo II Resurrected
Just copy all files from Diablo II to Diablo II Resurrected

I have only “Diablo II” folder and “GameLogs” & “Settings” inside.
If it works for you, please write the full way:
C:\Users\ … \character.d2s
