Just want to check if any or many other’s are experiencing the same thing- I’m picking up the same set items and uniques over and over. I’ve picked up three to four copies of the same uniques (a lot) across different characters and up to 12+ of the same set item pieces also across multiple characters. I mean, can I at least find the different parts of the set lol?
Random Drop Chance my friend. Some things drop way more often than other items…
Funnily enough, some items are more common than others and drop frequently. I swear some people on this forum are so unaccustomed to RNG and some items being extremely hard to get.

Yes thats by design. High level uniques have lower chance to drop. Monster level also determine what can drop thus some items can never drop in Normal and Nightmare.
If you were to farm Andariel in Nightmare enough times to gather 100 unique rings to fill your stash knowing she can only ever drop the three lowest unique rings in the game you would get only 3 or 4 Stone ring of Jordan and most of them would be the Nagle ring as it’s the more common one among the three.

Unless we examine the code and prove this statement beyond doubt we should consider that it is not “pure chance”.
While Resurrected is new, it’s still an old game under the fresh paint, it’s been dissected a long time ago so there’s Loot drop calculators available where you can examine drop from every enemy in the game and the different chances that apply.
There is no “smart loot” system at play here either, so it’s difficult to farm for one specific unique. And the drop rate is way lower than D3.
There will be items you will never find and you’ll have to come to terms with that.
Have some amount of Magic find but don’t go nuts. It makes no sense having too much of it gimping your character and making it too difficult or slow to farm effectively.
Depending on your character you may chose different places to farm to maximize your chances of good loot.
Monster and Area level plays a part of what can drop. Only a few places are high enough level to drop essentially everything.
For example between Andariel and Mephisto in Hell I go to act 2 Ancient tunnels since its one of the few lvl 85 areas in the game and has no cold immune monsters.
