Price check Rare ring

I found a rare ring just a couple of hours ago which seems to have nice stats for a melee char, but again, still a noob so can someone rate it?

+3 min dmg
+76 attack rating
8% Life stolen per hit
+14 strength
+30 cold resist
+26 fire resist

If it‘s crap please don‘t flame me ;-/

I don’t know the price, but my Barb could really use those 2 resists, so I’ll offer you an Ist rune.

Thx for the offer, but if it‘s worth „only“ an IST rune i prefer to keep it for my own barb/bowie as I habe low res too.

Don’t get me wrong, IST is a very good rune to me, but I hoped it is worth more (if any)

It may be worth more. I’m using a 10ll ring with 4 str 28 cold res which I need, and 20 lightning res which I don’t need. I need to use Laying on Hands for fire res, so to me you ring would be good to get some crushing blow gloves.

It’s quite a good ring for a windforce amazon. But people who play windforce instead of faith are usually not very wealthy. Perhaps wait until after the next patch, it is likely that they will buff some builds including bowazon.

There are people who will pay (much) more than ist for this. The ring has a very limited target group but at the same time, it is very rare and has nice stats.

In fact I play a windforce bowie as I am not wealthy

I will follow your advice and wait until after patch unless someone offers some good runes

Generally speaking a Bowazon don’t need much lifeleech. She is not supposed to tank, so just enough to keep her health at full.

For a Windforce, after getting IAS to hit the breakpoint, attack rating becomes the important stat. If a Windforce doesn’t feel good enough, it’s probably because you are not hitting often enough. I would surely run, and did when I used a windforce on my bowazon, the 2 best ravenfrosts I could get.

150 IAS Windforce setup: Shael Windforce for 40 IAS, Highlords or Cats Eye (Cats Eye is best IMO) for 20 IAS. Mavinas Diadem with IAS JEwel for 45 IAS, Laying on Hands for 20% IAS, Spirit Forge Unique Linked Armor with 2 IAS Jewels for 30 IAS = 155 IAS for the 8 breakpoint speed.

You can use Mavs belt to get manaleech, 2 piece set adds 20 strength for fitting Windforce and giving Diadem +1 skill. I really like this combo for the 20 faster run/walk, ontop of Cats Eye. A Bowazon should be fast, not just for running to and fro, but also for placement in combat, and to grab the loot when it drops in Dia runs. Or you can use Razortail for pierce and damage. Or use for example String of Ears to get your Lifeleech from the belt. Alternatively to armor you can run Treachery, or Natalyas armor with 3 sockets, to get 30 IAS.

If you upgrade to a Fortitude, you can no longer reach the breakpoint, and will have to rebuild. Fortitude is still an upgrade tho…

Rings should be 2 Ravenfrosts, boots WTs. Lifeleech will have to come from 20IAS 2 bow gloves with LL, from the belt, or a ring with LL and hopefully some good AR. It could come from Andys Helmet with an IAS Jewel, but you’ll need an IAS belt then, or a 3 socketed Nats Armor with jewels. Use a Might Merc with Reapers Toll, and you should be able to multi player farm.

A Quick Build I like to use: I don’t take valkyrie cause I can’t stand her groaning. I rely on the Merc and the Knockback for safety, and Cats Eye for movement speed.

Max Immo, and it’s 2 Synergies. Max Guided Arrows. One point in the middle and right side of the passive tree. Put points in Multi Arrow, till you have 15-17 arrows. Put the rest in Critical Strike.

Strength to equip Windforce, Mav Belt, Spirit Forge and WTs will help you here. 100 base Vit, or around 750 life. The rest into Dex for damage.

Multi on Left, Immo Arrow on right mouse. Even though you have spend 60 points in Immo arrow, you are still a Multi Bowazon Build. But lay down Immo Arrow on groups and whenever there’s opportunity. On Bosses, Immo stacking on them while shooting with Guided Arrows.

And put the stop attack button on something easy to use, like Q button, instead of shift.

that does all sound good, but at the moment my setup is pretty different:

I have a WF (with Shael) as weapon, made a fortitude with the only LO rune I ever found, LoH gloves, highlords, razortail, guillaumes helm, ravenfrost and the are ring from thread and sandstorm treck boots.

Pretty different from what you suggested, I have 80 ias total atm, most mobs are fine, just bosses like baal/diablo take ages to bring down.

I suppose the guillaumes is my worst piece with the boots, didn’t find any ias helm yet…

With a shael’d wf you need 55 ias on gear, so you can take any helm and put a 15ias jewel into it. Also I would use cats eye and harmony on switch, you’ll get used to the running and therefore clearing speed and then you will never want to switch back. A cheap pair of wartravelers will be the most reasonable next upgrade for you.

I have a war trav on another char so I‘ll switch it eventually, hatmony on second weapon slot built some weeks ago, so basically only ias in helm?

Just curious, when did we take for granted that a Windforce zon uses Multishot? I find it natural to use Strafe with a (relatively) slow heavy-hitting weapon. It solves your IAS issues completely, you don’t even need to reach the ultimate breakpoint as the difference to the penultimate is minor. Sure, Multishot makes you much more mobile which is key on a zon, but just as you can get used to running around fast, you can get used to positioning yourself safely. And you can still run fast with Harmony on switch. Not worrying about IAS makes life much easier and you don’t need to think twice about equipping Forti, for example.

Edit: it is also not safe to assume that Windforce Multishot means budget. You can still use Faith on A1 merc as many people do.

to me using Multishot is a matter of having more fun using this skill, for me the bowazon is certainly not the most easy/budget/efficient char to play (atm), but it’s a ton of fun, I don’t like to farm for hours but rather have fun and hope for something to drop sometimes, Multishot is the way to go, for me at least.

I understand what you mean. My starter char was a bowazon precisely because it’s fun, but fun is subjective it seems. For me strafe and freezing arrow (frostmaiden) equals fun. And I use Windforce for strafe.

But then again multishot is fun, too, so my third char was another bowa, multishot strafe with faith merc and Windforce on me.

my goal is to be able to farm hell cows with multishot bowie, but as of now it’s not working, cows come too close as they don’t die fast enough and knockback only works on two middle arrows afaik, so I hope that a merc with faith will get me the extra dmg and ias due to fana aura, maybe you can confirm that this is playable? or even with faith hell cows are still a pain? I’m “only” lvl 82ish so probably the dmg on WF will be scaling with me getting higher lvl later

I don’t like doing cows so I can’t tell before testing, but your damage should not be high enough to feel like you’re owning the cow level. Faith provides an amazing damage boost via the attack speed, but the raw damage boost is not that high. 118-144 ed depending on the roll. So if you’re struggling now, adding faith to the picture (probably replacing might aura that you currently use) might make it work, but it still won’t be a fast farm.

You’re right about the two middle arrows. You can’t rely on knockback that much, your priority should be to kill faster. For me, that setup (wf + faith rogue) provided the highest damage output, but might merc + pride + faith on yourself could potentially deal more, you just need to compensate the drop in base weapon damage with enough charms.

I’ll get back to you after I solo some cows

I will up my bid to 4 ist, if you be willing to sell it.

Thank you very much for your offer, but I am enjoying my bowie right now, and this ring makes a difference to me as I am equipped now so unless it‘s a high rune (which the ring is probably not worth) I am going to keep it. I put on Andy‘s visage to reach break point and the fire res with all the other stats just is necessary for her atm.

By the way, I did do some cows the other day and to my surprise, my multishot bowazon feels really good there. Over six runs, her average clear speed was only about 10 seconds below my dual dream paladin and matched my frostmaiden who 1-shots packs but loses more time repositioning because she’s slower. So Faith merc makes a difference.

My setup is: Windforce (Shael), Forti, Andy Visage (ED jewel), LoH, Razortail, 2xRaven, Cat’s Eye, Travs, max dmg charms — that’s with lvl 12 aura on my Faith

A lvl 13 aura will let you drop 5 IAS and a better socket setup would be ED/max dmg jewel in the Weapon and IAS(+add) in the Helm

That is very good to know, thank you for the Feedback! I am going to build her up further, for now I am doing more or less ok, the extra 20 ias helped a bit here, I just miss the cat‘s eye and the ed/ias jewel and dmg charms compared to your setup (obviously also faith…), so there is still some room for improving! Ty for testing it

Sure, no problem. Once I finish all my other chars, first thing to do will be to get a better Faith and change the jewels. I expect the ED/dmg jewel on the weapon, modifying my base damage, to make a huge difference. My charms are also not that great, got a few good GCs and that’s it. So I have a higher ceiling as well.

About the Cat’s Eye - go get one, they’re cheap and they’re great for that build. The IAS and dex boost your damage a lot and the run/walk improves your general clear speed
