PTR 2.4 Bugs / suggestions

I did not find any official way to report bugs, so I start this topic, hoping someone from blizzard read this and tell it the devs.

  1. Tooltip bug at “pimp” npc’s

I noticed that the tooltip information about the skills with synergy of the merc at the npc’s are not correct. They are missing the synergy calculation.

Yeah that’s right, the skills of the merc’s use synergy and the synergy don’t cap at lvl 20, because their base points can reach more than 20.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or just (actually) technically not possible, because the object/instance of the class is not generated before the hiring of the merc at the npc and so the “calculation method” is not called.

However it is confusing and even more disappointing seeing the merc skills with lower values at the npc vendors . This “bug” could discourage other players from hiring other mercs then a2 because of the disinformation. Please fix this :blush:

  1. Necro skills

Skeletal Mage: I really like the increased damage, but could you add the actual damage of the skeletal mages to the tool tip of the skill please? I’m sure there is plenty of space for that. Fire dmg, lightning dmg, ice dmg, poison dmg, poison duration.

Lower resist: Increasing the damage of skeletal mages and the fire golem makes this skill more valuable. But the tooltip of this skill does not show any information about the actual value. I mean the conviction skill of the paladin shows it perfectly, why not lower resist?

Iron Maiden: Every “Thorns” skill has now a flat value but not this one. At least the tooltip shows % dmg. Is this a bug or does the iron maiden curse not work as a “thorns” skill? If that’s so, does thorns and iron maiden stack?

Please make it possible that a shapeshifted druid can at least cast Battle Command and Battle Orders. Teleport would be awesome too but I think the Warcries are more important.

Perhaps it would be helpful to put this information down, I too have had a hard time finding the place to give this bug information.
Not all of them automatically go to the US forums.

Another suggestion regarding the shapeshifters’ IAS change. I guess (hope) that by now it is clear that the change won’t stand. Unification of the mechanics would also kill diversity and make all formerly good druid weapons useless, pushing them out of circulation. You’ll basically get a Zealot with renamed abilities and a life boost instead of holy shield.

If you want to improve early game performance and player experience:

  • keep IAS as it is and provide a tooltop / alternatively increase off-weapon IAS effect in wereform.
  • provide some flat AR bonus so that it multiplies with the percent AR bonusses
  • increase the +5 add to character level used in hit chance formula for druids to +15 (matches assassin, pala and barb have 20 each)
