Question regarding firewall

Maybe I’m just seeing things, but it feels diablo and cows and cold immunes in chaos sanctuary melt much less fast with firewall since i logged in after the maintenace, has it been fixed?

The damage for firewall was much to high, when you casted 2 of them.
This bug was fixed

From the patch notes:

  • Fixed an issue where overlapping Fire Wall or Blaze missiles could cause increased damage

Overlapping implies double casting on the same spot but I swear my single casts of firewall that used to melt Andy are now taking twice as long to do it.

Yep same experience here, even in single cast the damage is greatly reduced

andy in hell was dead by 1 firewall in 1 sek. now it takes much longer

yeh seems like fw is nerfed to the ground. Definitely affecting single cast fw also doing much lesser damage. A previously subpar skill now made totally unusable.

where are patchnotes?

Not only where overlapping firewalls “fixed” doing overlapping damage, but also the damage one firewall does was heavily nerfed. My FO/FW Sorc is relying heavily on her FW for Cold Immunes, but now she has to cast 2 Firewalls for a single normal Mob in Chaos Sanctuary… and her FW is at Level 31 with synergies of Level 4 Warmth, Level 1 Inferno (well duh) and Level 17 Fire Mastery…

And yet again Blizzard shows that they only know 2 extremes… either a skill is totally OP or completely useless…

So what to respec into? I want to keep my FO and not switch to Blizzard. But whats the alternative now to deal with Cold Immunes?

This patch killed the fire wall sorcererss build! I played the original diablo 2, in lod, now in resurrected. Now i have: 43 firewall level, 43 warmth, 43 fire mastery, 31 inferno, -15% to enemy fire resists. Average fire wall damage 30419-30619 per second.

Now it all doesn’t work. useless build, useless items, wasted time.

Yeah it’s been nerfed to the ground. Level 25 Firewall is ridiculously weak now in Act4 or 5.
They can’t fix technical issues or idiot AI of a mercenary, but nerfing skills is easy so there you go.
With crappy drops the game was already painfull in Hell for someone without any end game gear. Now it feeals even worse. Oh and nevermind how hard it is to get additional respec option in this game. You’re just suppose to grind for hours without any reward.

retarded blizzard dont know what needs to be fix and what doesn’t. they should stop harassing women and hire someone from the forum that really knows the game

doesnt matter if it was fixed now, as it is now as intended or not blabla. they justed killed a whole build with that “fixing”. ALL people who dont have insane gear now back to blizzard. 0 logic in that. better invest time to make MORE builds equal. nova, hydra, multishot or whatever instead of makeing less viable. stupid blizz. do you even play this game?

If they really fixed the overlaped bug, no one would be upset.
It is not so important that the boss dies in 1, 5 or 10 seconds.
They have reduced the damage that a single firewall does, and it is now impossible to kill cows.

Sadly I had to repsec out of FO/FW Build and play purely Blizzard Sorc now. Go with the masses and ignore most cold immunes. Sad.

FW is not nerfed to the ground. You only need to invest a bit more to have a viable fw frozen orb build. i used it in past and it was a great build for all content.

Noticed this as well. Quite disappointing since they patch notes only mention stacking FW as fixed.

Fireball with as many synergies as you can, since FOrb requires no synergies / the one synergy it has is rubbish anyway, and not worth points.

Fun fact, 1x 14k firewall hits for the same amount now of 1x 4k firewall.

This is not a fix, it’s a trashfix introducing a new bug making firewall obsolete.
