Refused to Refund? What to do next! ✨

I was refused by blizzard to get this game refunded 2 days ago, I’m sure I’m not the only person this has happened to.
I went to seek legal advice from a consumer dispute solicitor on what to do next. I wish to pass this knowledge on to the community:

First we are able to contact our payment service providers who handed over your money to purchase this game. This means Paypal, AMEX, Master Card, Your Banks, etc. They are subjected to consumer protection regulations in your country, and they provide means of helping to limit your liability and losses on purchase such as this one.

I will go over Paypal as an example here since this is what I used to purchase the game with, with other payment service providers they will have a way for you to report and dispute a purchase.

For opening the dispute on the claim of this purchase in your activities, you need to provide a Terms of Sale from Blizzard. Here’s a handy link for you to copy and paste:

For privoding evidence of the dispute I went with purchased service is un-usable. We can use the Blizzard CS twitter to show all the downtimes that’s been happening, their twitter account is @BlizzardCS

Remember to screenshot the conversation with Blizzard Customer Support on how they have refused your refund, this will come handy.

Mentioning how these server crashes and lost of character / progress are covered by the press will help us in our case. A quick google of Diablo 2: Resurrected in news tab you will find many links.

Please keep in mind that these payment services are not blizzards, keep venting to a minimal if possible.

Good Luck People :+1: Don’t ever give up on your hard earned money.

This should be a sticky here.
Might a bit too much to ask from the forums mods though

Good News Everyone~!! I can give a happy status update on my refund journey, after 3 days of dealing with this with blizzard’s customer support downfalls.

I manage to get the game refunded from paypal dispute! Don’t loose hope if you get rejected for a refund from Blizzard initially! I’m so happy I manage to backtrack and get my money back from my bad purchase decision.

Good Luck on your refunds everybody!

Its is possible. Question is, what happened to your blizzard account after this forced refund and what happened to other games on your account.

So far nothing has happened to my blizzard account yet, I can still log in and see the games i have bought and such.
But honestly after this experience I don’t care anymore what happens with it. I’m pretty much done, and I’m a little sad about it.
I might print this out and frame it somewhere to remind me as a lesson:

Oh another Tip I want to give is, If you have success getting this refunded via paypal. Don’t forget to remove Blizzard from the “Pre-approved payments” section under you account settings, just incase they try to charge you back again after refund.

Next week he’s going to buy d2r again xD

I heard MelB had fallen on hard times but this is far beyond my expectation.

Jokes aside, I would not take MelB’s advice on this because apparently the law is easy and you can simply go and do that no worries… trust me, it isn’t worth the agro.

If they had announced that they were not doing anything about it, you may have a case, but they haven’t, so don’t put yourself in a silly situation.

Im not talking about server issues. My main got rolled far back, over week of progress and farmed gear is gone and im being totally ignored by tech support. And im not the only one in this. And thats a serious case.
