Which is your perfect right. I however is against. Together with Nukeblast we make “we”.
Although Nukeblast talked about the classic players on basis. Not only about you and him (or her?). And I’M a classic player and not against the option… And I’m also open for other features.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not for ALL the suggestions out there. But PLoot won’t influence the game in any way… (Just annoy the ninja-looters, which is good imho.)
But I can live with things like unlimited free respecs, even if I’m sceptical about it. Not everyone played D2 classic and is used to it. So OPTIONS is the keyword.
Well said so … You surprise me that all the games are empty and empty copy and paste … I understood in fact it is the fault of the fanatics, a bit like you. It’s limit if tomorrow you would not launch a world war because someone to launch an idea for improvement … You tire me nostalgic … You therefore do not understand that we can completely improve the game without for so much ruin its atmosphere / gameplay and its system?
You amaze me that Warcraft III reforged to bide if you are resistant to any changes … It is YOUR fault that the game and the blizzard games do not evolve. It’s the same with WoW classic. Some say it’s the best MMORPG on earth, but there’s no one on ERA anymore.
So instead of just being able to play D2R with a better lifespan, new stuffs and new mechanics, I’m going to finish the game, and never touch it again because once the maximum level is online and full stuff there is more NO interest. Thank you nostalgic for this gift.
Yeah, totally, lmao. I didn’t ever ask for d2 remastered nowhere, but yet still i have it now for some reason. D3 is not evolving in passed 9 years, D4 is not even announced, nor some Diablo games is coming on to mobile platform, Overwatch isn’t getting a sequel, Hearthstone isn’t getting a new huge mode to play, all this is my personal fault, that blizz games is in a bad spot, sorry. Also sorry for loving one particular game too much that i don’t want to see any heavy gameplay core changes in it.
And what are you suggesting?
You mean town portal? what stops you to put tp near, lets say, countess, and farm those low-mid runes at incredible speed? Or near andy/mef? Near Diablo with all seals open? Or near keyholders? Or do baalruns? Chests will be reseted to closed too? you can farm those in Lower Curast in Hell diff, they can drop up to Ber rune, you know, and you don’t even need to have semi-good char to farm those that way. Shrines will reset to? welcome to perfect gem farm from 0 gems to all Pgems you can need.
Or you mean something like “special reset portal” in town only, witch you go in and monsters reapered again. But after that you know exactly the road to andy/mef/keyholders/whatever it is, and this (in online mod) is called maphacking.
Finding path to the place where you want to go is big part of the game: do i play sorc and tele, or someone else with tp charges staff on swap or with costy Enigma runeword, or do i just walk there, or do i do pindleskin runs, or im ok with farming slow, do i take off too much my power gear to replace it with mf gear etc. Also, if after that “reset portal” monster you have in that game is not rerolled you can farm specific places in Hell because game sometimes roll monsters you can’t really fight because of immunities. After that “small change” whole D2R economic system will go to hell. And if you don’t play online and you don’t interested in trading you can just roll map until you get good one with really short path to place what you want to farm. This is a much bigger advantage offline players have, bigger than that “reset portal”.
What’s next step will you do to “improve” D2R? More loot drop? more monsters? D3 grifts? Terraria-like auto killing machine with monsters reappear in it and you just watch your exp going up and collect all loot?
No thank you. You can just close game and go again.
It’s a bad road of this “minor improvements” and i don’t want D2R to go there.
P.S. Due to what Bizzard tell us in a last bluepost, “reset portal” or even better just “reset game” button can be good to make servers less stressed due to a lot of farm games been created and destroyed. But only full clear reset of the whole game without exiting, that’s it. With, let’s say, all players voting “yes” when creator of this game start voting.
That’s the problem with you boomers. You don’t understand anything. Or did I write that we had to make the game super easy and destroy the charm it has? Ergonomics is NOT ease but comfort and it is this that you do not seem to understand. Going back to my example, I’m just explaining that we can create a way to respawn monsters and level bosses WITHOUT NEEDING to leave the game!
Honestly LucieLys it sounds like your problem can be solved by just an end boss voting system such as two portals opening (such as blue and idk purple?) and depending on which you enter whoever has the most votes with both progressing into the next act, but one also resets the mob/server. If that’s the case, then hilariously enough I don’t agree with that. What happens to the players who didn’t get all the waypoint during the act run? Do they just have to redo the entire act again or shouldn’t they keep the progress they earned to not have to kill all those mobs again to have to go get them. What would make your needs overrule theirs? Even setting that aside that solution sounds convenient yes, but you hit ESC, “Save and Quit”, and then “Play” again? That’s three actions! This sounds so incredibly niche, its not worth the developers time. Where do you draw the line between convenience and being coddled? I’m actually asking.
What solution is there for an even a small part of a development team to decrease 3 small actions to less actions?
But lets say you mean online! Would you pay an entire development team to put in a niche mechanic that has the potential to ruin aspects of your game?
“OMG, THESE BOOMERS ARE SUCH DRAMA QUEENS! IT WILL RUIN THE GAME HE SAYS! HA!”
Before we all jump on that band wagon lets here what the man has to say shall we? And yes despite me being a millennial I doubt it matters since its the internet and I can be whatever I want. The horse typed on thinking he has cleverly fooled these humans into thinking he TOO was human
Anyway…
Yes RUIN! Lets say you mean online, where once you completed the Act then the Act boss spawns no more. Then your argument is why do I have to do ALL this over again and someone else’s game no less! And I’m not even guaranteed a drop before another player picks up the drop I worked so hard for?
Well its community! Sure people will want that loot! Its a looter! But it provides a fun balance between co-op and competitive. If you join someone’s game, you have joined THEIR game, with the goal of… What exactly? (Here comes the balance ) You (USUALLY) have players here to either:
- Have a fun co-op experience of toughing out these awesome dungeons and create an experience.
- Played this Act and is overpowered a bit to help players beat the act.
- Or here for the LOOT and need that boss dead!
All three of those are what makes this community great! Take even one of those away (talking about the last one here) then we are at less players for the ones who don’t see it as just a loot grab, but a moment of “WOW, look at all these people coming together to beat this awesome story! HUZZAH! THE PRIME EVILS WILL NOT BE VICTORYOUS!” Just to learn about the competitive scene after the story! This game has so much to offer. Take away that third option and why would I ever want to see someone else when I have the RESET option. Well, if some new player joins this game and there is no one is there to “BEST THE PRIME EVILS! HUZZAH!” Then that means one of my favorite games has a bigger chance to die out. There is no positive for the developers to meet this problem (I’m guessing here) the very small minority has.
If we go down that route, then at the very end we would come to the conclusion that the only thing needed is a slotmachine game with items after logging in.
