It would be possible to make an update later to be able to repop the bosses and the elite monsters but without having to leave the game? It’s boring, long and it’s a pre-war mechanic.
It would also make it so farming bosses will be a lot faster and therefore increase the amount of loot drops, devaluing all equipment, making the life span of the game a lot shorter and an even bigger focus on just boss fights, even though this is Diablo 2 and not Cuphead.
So I don’t care what is possible, I don’t want that change.

no cause u should slauther all the non boss mobs bevore you can reach the bosses and unique mobs. Else you can farm them too easy thought.
It doesn’t make sense … More supporters of the #nochange sect. I am not speaking to you who are completely blocking the evolution of the game, I am addressing the developers and I am sending them the message that having to quit the game 35,612,352 times + redo 351,892,619 times the same monsters that are killed in one hit each time just to farm a single boss that dies in two seconds, well it’s not hard but chianlie. So if you literally like “Pissing yourself off doing boring stuff and believing it’s hard to do boring things” then good to you. But if I paid 40 dollars for this game at a high price it’s not to get pissed off by pompous nostalgic people who are resistant to changes and therefore to the evolution of the game. The difficulty in a hack’n Slash is to kill the boss, not the ride to get there.
Yours truly. Sorry for being a little aggressive. But I can’t get enough of the people who prevent the game from evolving because of their moldy nostalgia. If you don’t want that to change, go for the old Diablo II it still exists. I want to MOVE FORWARD, not get stuck in 2000

If the way to the boss is already boring, then killing him over and over again with instant respawn is boring too.
If killing the same thing for multiple hours is boring, then what’s even the point of the game?
Your point completly devaluates what this game is about. And yes, it’s about boring grinding the same mobs over and over again for really rare (and good) items.
You bought a loot grinder which are “boring” by definition if you don’t like grinding. Deal with it, or play something else.
The game doesn’t have to change it’s core because it isn’t fun to you.

why only do one boss, do more, there is like 5 acts, go do some other bosses also, and you might even get more drops, figure out a route you do and you might get more items to drop than just do one boss over an over again.
that is how I did it back in the days, or if not i just farmed same boss, and never had any issues whit creating new games.
Then why you bought a remaster of a 20 year old game? Its not a remake… I dont see any “evolve” in what you are asking to be honest it only would made players even more angrier if they add that instead of focusing on fixing crashes or servers.

if the respawne thing would reload the entire world and send you to the city
(basicly what it does it remake the world for you) i can’t see how it is difrerent from what we do now
(like a /reload ) command that quits the game to menu and reload but it does it in one load screen)
You literally paid those 40 dollars already. Blizzard has your money already and you KNEW what Diablo 2 was beforehand and STILL gave them your 40 Dollars. Your 40 Dollars don’t make you entitled to anything at all. Guess what, I too paid 40 Dollars. But I paid it to get what was advertised. So how can you even achieve those mental gymnastics that you deserve that the devs are pandering to your whims while I should get ducked over?

I do not ask to remove the monsters leading to the bosses, nor do I ask to put a checkpoint 2 meters from the boss. Please don’t insult me for being assisted! I’m talking about a dusty mechanic that forces players to LEAVE THE GAME, why not repop enemies and bosses just by using the portal? Yet it is easy to understand.
To which I add that this game IS A REMAKE because EVERYTHING has been redone, kinematics, modeling, texture, animation, music. Everything has been redone so it’s a remake. A remaster would be bringing out exactly the same game with moldy anti-aliasing like Skyrim Special Edition for example.
I did not buy this game to play a game from 2000, but to discover a cult game that comes out in 2021 under a remake, such as Crash Bandicoot is a remake too, exactly the same game and the same genre that does not has not aged. What I’m saying is that you annoy me just as much as you are the nostalgic ones to COMPLETELY BLOCK any progress in the game.
I am simply asking for the right to be able to play in good condition, with the scenario and the atmosphere of the game + ergonomics. If I want to piss off with prehistoric mechanics, I would have bought classic Diablo II and I encourage you to do the same by the way because playing a remake is useless if the game is perfect according to you. For me this is not the case, everyone has his opinion thank you but do not piss off the people who offer ideas and renewal in a dusty genre that everyone, including POE has changed.
I also add that the one above attacks me by telling me that I know what I have to buy, that I am entitled to nothing at all etc …
I paid 40 € for the game BEFORE the fans piss off the world with the nochange. I was in favor of change from the start because I am discovering the game. It is more like you the moron wanting to replay exactly the same thing 20 years later for twice the price. I paid in the hope that content updates will arrive and a potential alternative to POE.

Also devs talk about it since the first announce – DR2 will be all like D2LoD but with graphics, bigger shared chest and cross-progression. That’s it. No more additions. Even auto pickup gold you can turn off in options.
So yeah, you bought a game with better graphics from 2000. And there will be no changes, at least that huge.

In this case if nothing is added, what good is this remake if it does not serve to improve the original game? It’s a waste of money.
Well… better graphics, remastered sounds, bigger shared chest, cross-progression. Also working on win10 properly, on wider screen, with good resolution. My guess that you are pretty young (no offence here) if you don’t realize that this is a big deal, its a big problem almost all old games have. If server problems will resolve i will be thinking about buying Nintendo Switch console to play D2R while on a trip.
If you don’t get it - try to imagine your most favorite game like 11/10 to you, in which you spend thousands of hours. And now try to imagine how bad it will be looking after 20 years passed. And how you will be hyped after that 20 years for the same game but with amazing new graphics/sounds (maybe it will be all in virtual reality in the future, who knows), and annoying minor bugs/features fixed (I’m not talking about the core gameplay here).
And yet you can check this in D2R by pressing ‘g’ in-game

we just wanted the updated resolution and graphics, that was it, mostly resolution. We did not ask for any “improvements” what so ever, okay they gave us the extra stash to not mule anymore, we could live without it, autogold pickup we could live without it too, portal open/cow king again nice but we could live without. Uniques/RW ladder in nl/sp, we coped with it for 20 years not such a big deal. Other improvements we really do not want, fix the bugs that D2R introduced and we are golden here.

…and for “rinse and repeat” just a button… Then a loading screen as long as the same time, if you would do it manually. Problem solved.
But I’m not in the “we”-section in that case. (And yes, I played diablo 2 original since day 1, but I’m ANYWAY for improvements like a PLoot-OPTION.)
