Respeccing skills in D2R

I played D2 years ago and recall respeccing was only allowed 4 times? Presumably from the lady in the SE of the Rogue Camp.

Have they updated this for the modern day? Like most ARPG players these days, I like to experiment with builds - it’s a basic QoL feature for a modern day ARPG. 4 respecs will not cut it these days I think. Is there any other way to respec in this game that I am unaware of?

No, it’s still the same sadly. It’s honestly sad the route they chose to go with D2R. I was hoping they would go the route and bring D2R up to par with other popular today’s ARPG’s. You know, give the game a fresh breath of life. However, they just made it look pretty. The game still feels old and dated. It’s severely under-par with what is expected for today’s time.

When they called this resurrected and not remastered I thought that is what they were going to do. Bring a game that was on life support back to full health. Which is also why I thought they charged so much for it.

We shall see. 4 respecs will simply not cut it with new players I predict. The moment they find out that nonsense, they will quit or not buy in the first place. I probably would not have bought it had I known. I just assumed that the lack of respeccing was so very at odds with what is expected these days that they would change it. As you said, it is as fundamental a necessity for the game to do well as a shared stash. It will also massively reduce my play of this game going forward, if I play at all.

Actually you can respecc as often as you like, you just have to farm some ingredients and this is perfectly fine.
Now think about immunities in this game and tell me why it is a >>BAD<< idea to be able to respecc on the go.

when was the last time you guys played diablo 2? you’ve been able to respec whenever you want however many times you want for more than a decade. you just need some items which will become cheap later on

I last played about 20 years ago.

So what ingredients are you referring to? And when is “later” in the game when I can farm these ingredients? I’d like to respec many many times while going through Normal, as that is when it is most important to be able to do so when devising builds. If later means when I am in a later difficulty, then that’s much too late.

Later means in Hell.

You have to farm certain materials from each acts final boss. It’s actually quite tedious.
