Is the d2r server down. Cannot connect to online mode?

Probably only the login servers are affected.

same here right now… for 2nd time this week ffs…
Is the D2R European Realm down today (20/04/2023, 00h36, time of Paris) ?
I can’t connect to online mode on this Realm : “Authentication failed. Please retry.”
But if I try to connect on the D2R Asian Realm, it seems to be ok.

We’re not seeing any issues with the European login servers at that time. If you think there might be, a good reference is to check Twitter.
