the change makes sense to me.
We will survive the 5-10 more minutes for a hell rush. Almost nothing changes at playthrough.
Honestly I always thought this bug was massively cheesy so while it’s gonna be a bit more bothersome to rush people, I’m actually glad it’s fixed.
Now they just need to fix the bug where you can rush underleveled characters through Hell with a buffer and we’re getting somewhere.
i don´t understand why this had to be changed! forcing ppl to play through act3 is ridiculous! if you play through act 3 with first character is fairly enough! all these years even during d2, everything was fine. now suddenly someone comes up with a GREAT IDEA! YOU CAN BE PROUD OF YOURSELF!
Yes, being FORCED to play this game is horrible. I demand a button inside the lobby that gives me a level 99 character with every item in the game.

They fixed something nobody ever asked or wished for at the same time the games crash, server down, etc …
It was clearly an oversight from the original team that never got adressed.
Makes no sense that they ‘‘force’’ you to play A2 but would let you skip A3, which is basically the same system, explore Act > assemble item > use it to get to boss.
Oh that kind of guy. Okay, so tell them to Patch act1 and act4, why can we finish these acts by just killing final bosses we should complete all quests.
Sounds good to me. Make all quests mandatory for all i care, i love playing the game so more of it is great.
It would be great for multiplayer because otherwise you get people that do nothing else but go end boss and leave.

At least I would like an option to make it mandatory for people to participate for the quests in order.
It always goes like this:
Opens game “Act 1 Quest1-6”
- some random Barb that didnt put one point in combat skills joins the game, proceeds to open tp to catacombs lvl 2
“Gogo guys Andy quick”
-Everyone rushes for said tp and proceed to ruin the game
I need to level anyway before proceeding to the next difficulty, so why bother with rushing towards the end
Yeah, i understand why people do it but there should be a way to separate it so i can also enjoy a nice run of killing stuff. Using level cap is a decent enough workaround until you reach nm or hell. The power levels there are too random to be measured in simple levels there sadly.
It seems to be all about the player’s attitude: whether they just want to get to “end game content” or whether they enjoy the journey there. Funny enough, a lot of people try to rush to end game, and then complain about lack of content / diversity.
Some point we all need to play the same game lol. Play by the same rules as everyone else. Play how you want only goes so far.
You wanna rush a3 then skip cut scenes. Better yet go play singleplayer. There you can mod the game to your specifications.
you can still skip the content tho.
P1 is being rushed P2 is carrying.
P2 opens game, kills council, opens TP for P1.
P1 can now walk down into level1 durance.
P2 escorts P1 down to the WP like he is mister president.
P1 activates WP and opens a new game because quest.
P1 can now use WP in durance 2 without having ever seen organs or flail
P2 escorts P1 down to mephisto and kills him.
for transparency i would never do this i play the game exactly as intended and enjoy its great and diverse content – especially gather all three organs while exploring the brilliant map layouts of act3! im simply posting this in hopes that blizzard will fix it!
- Get Travi WP
- Join a game where act 3 is finished (Baal runs and what not)
- Walk to Durance WP2
- Create a new game.
