If you have Black screen / graphical issues etc, do this:
Go to youя Diablo2 directory and delete Data folder.
Go to Blizard laucher and do the “check and recovery files” option.
Dont be gei

PS. your old chars and stash may disapear. Keep your old Data saves somewhere until this little indie studio fixes everything

I do not own the Warlock expansion but I had a black screen after the update.
This solution worked for me. At first glance I have not lost a character or items.
Didn’t help for me. it’s not a black screen or graphical bug. It just crashes to desktop as soon as the game tries to login with a character.

That did not work for me. What DID work immediately was running the game executable directly without the Battle.net loader: [Installation location]\Diablo II Resurrected\D2R.exe
