Stacking Holy Fire and Holy Shock Auras with Conviction problem ? Potential Bug?

If you wear dual Dream Helm and Shield on a Paladin without putting a point into Holy Shock you will be granted Level 30 Holy Shock due to this skill being granted by the items and this will synergise with whatever points lying in Resist Lightning and Salvation. However what happens if you place a skill point into Holy Shock? Does it cancel out the level 30 Holy Shock aura, does it stack to a certain extent or is the point ignored in 2.4 ? I know for a fact that in Diablo 2 of old, putting a point in Holy Shock would cancel out the item granted aura, but this has since been changed.

I ask this because for a full Auradin when using Dragon, Hand of Justice and Dual Dreams, you have to place a point into Holy Fire to get to Conviction in the skill tree. What effect does putting this single hard point have on the item granted level 30 Holy Fire Aura, I’m wondering whether it synergises properly at all.

With a single point placed in Holy Fire I’m only showing as having level 8 Holy Fire Aura. How is this skill point being synergised with Resist Fire and Salvation? I’m not certain this is working correctly and with the dubious nature of character stats screen, there’s no real way I can prove anything. I certainly dont know what pulse damage I’m doing.

I’ve even read that the community itself isn’t certain upon how auras stack. Some people have even said that dual Dream doesn’t give you level 30 Holy Shock. but just combines two 15 Holy Shock Auras simultaneously. It all sounds a bit unclear to me and really need some feedback.
