Still the greatest game of all time but please increase the character limit!

I know it has been said before but Im just here to put more voices behind the issue.

Even right now 20 seems a bit small. Taking into account having like 2 builds per class thats 14 characters and then 6 mules is already not enough to store stuff. I know people think its hoarding but veterans know how many things are worth keeping and how it makes leveling an alt easier if you have some lower level good gear stored beforehand as well.

But then I considered ladder hasnt even started so when that comes it basically means we are forced to delete characters if we even want to play ladder?! And I dont like hardcore but for those people who play but normal and hardcore this limit must be horrible…

Come on blizz dont you even know how your own classic is played by most people? Or is this just a sceme to sell more tabs / character space later on? If so that would be quite nasty since 40 euro is already quite a lot for a simple remaster.

I love the game but back in the days we could just make unlimited accounts to have as many characters as we needed so this needs to be adressed, FOR FREE.

I totally agree to that. I was using 8-10 accounts with 8 character slots each the whole time I was playing LoD. Even though I already have two accounts to be able to do things like buffing and rushing it is still only half the character slots I used to have.

maybe the problem is the necessity of creating mule characters in 2021

more FREE stash tabs would be a good solution as well.
But Im not sure 20 characters without mules would be enough for the most addicted of players either if they play normal and hardcore non ladder and ladder. Thats 4 different types x7 classes = already 28 characters needed and thats 1 build per class.

And you need at least one slot for characters for socket quest Norm which you delete after finishing the quest. Or with two accounts for rushing characters for hellforge quest, though I guess farming countess and cows is more effective.

selfrushing isnt really something Im concerned with but blizzard probably wont allow a second account without you buying the game again.
Everything Im talking about should be added for free because its the bare minimum you could do on classic LoD.

Adding extra stash space would cost Blizzard nothing. While players probably unanimously agree more stash space is good, they don’t think of the other side. I haven’t played Diablo 3 in a while, but if I log back in now, all my toons have full stashes and full bags everywhere, and if mails haven’t been deleted, I’ve got tons of stuff waiting from season stash that is no more. Unless starting fresh in seasons again, I could not play the game without starting by sorting a ton of gear. In D3 we have more stash space, and the job of sorting through it is thus bigger.

Limiting the stash space, makes sorting your stuff a limited job. And it’s easier to consider which of 10 items to dump than which of 100 items to dump. I am the same… I want more character slots and more stash space while playing… But when I get a bit more casual than I used to, then managing all the crap gets in the way of the game too.

the few stashs in d3 was to much for player. so they asked for a searchbar …
more stash tabs would be great but i see the people cry ^^

all we need are unlimited stash. i know this sound weird. but if you talk to the old gamer of this game. what are parts you get told?!
“i had a account full of high rune chars” “i had one char full with griffons” “i had 5 accounts full with gems” and so on.

this game is designed to “hate” you. in hell to progress you have to farm a lot of low places. or trade like crazy to get something to reach the next step.
sometimes you did the same run 1000 time to get one part that was rly worth to keep.

at the end of the “day” you sit there and looked in your stash. all the trophys.
maybe for one was it high runes. other was just happy to get a second shako. someone else was happy to see 2 pul or 2 um.

but you had things you was able to look at. but now we have to select. its nice you have 10 pul runes. but sry now you have to trade them underprice or upgrade them.
oh you have 2 griffon. nice but sry. charsi or sell them. because you dont have the place anymore…

and a week later you look at your stash and it is empty. because you cant keep anything. you played for weeks/month and the result is… nothing.
no reward. no feeling it was worth all this hard grind. you grinded hard and have no items.

so people stop playing. this was one of the biggest problems in d3 for the long term motivation. you played and played and played. but at the end you had nothing.

this is why we need endless amount of stash. dosent matter how. more stash tabs. more chars. more anything. but right now i come to the point i have to salvage things i wanted to keep. nothing worth. just for me a trophy. so in long term i will stop playing… good for the server

not all people would use 1000 stash tabs. most people maybe 20 or 40. but to have the option for more is needed.

20 chars would be enough if they would add 2-3 pages more personal stash and 10-15 pages more personal stash.

Checking the mules for an item sucks due to the 1minute-timer for creating games.

But currently players are forced to create many mules wich is just embarrassing in 2021…

I dont really care what braindead diablo 3 players think tbh…

For me, 20 characters definitely is not enough even without mules. But I have a second account already, so yes, removing the need for mules by adding additional stash space and my 40 slots would definitely be enough for me.
