Hi Blizzard.
I tested the new summoner druid and have to say something.
Look. Nobody plays a summoner because he wants to spam buttons. Summoner players are the type of players that play tycoon games. We set something up and then we watch.
We summon an army. Maybe curse something once in a while.
Or we summon wolves and ravens and then we watch.
No summoner ever said, it’s a cool Idea to press summon raven once every second.
The ravens hit faster now and only do 5 hits. So I have to summon a new raven once every second. All I do is stand there and spam summon raven.
No leaning back. No watching. No fun.
I’m playing summoner druid since the release of LoD and this really destroys the spec. There’s enough other specs where I can smash tons of buttons. Don’t destroy the unique enjoyable slowpaced playstyle of a summoner class by giving it a fix that changes completely what a summoner druid is.
The other stuff is good. Just give the ravens more hits.

I totally agree with that.
I can’t see the point of reducing raven hits. This actually cancels the dual builds due to the time needed to spawn the ravens.
Another thing is that they peck for more damage than grizzly when all is maxed
I don’t mind the numbers. I’m not experienced enough to know if they are tuned good.
I just can comment from a gameplay wise experience. I’m playing diablo since release, but never killed uber diablo.
But I suggest to either give the ravens more hits OR
Summon all ravens with one spell, but with a CD + being able to summon bear and wolves at the same time. So we don’t need the Ravens to be tanky (blind), but still have some kind of active spell.
The Druid must be a Dark Lord, so powerful and so wise, so he could use the Force to influence the mana to create life… He must have such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep his pets from dying
I absolutely disagree with this post.
First of all, even if you want a summon class where you do nothing, it’s the necro, not druid.
Second of all, I LOVE summon necro but i’d be bored to death if i didn’t have my trusty amp damage/corpse explosion combo.
The summon druid has many issues but the least talked about one was having nothing to do.
Not having something to do wouldn’t be THAT bad for necro but druid really needs to help his pets. They absolutely suck in Hell, even if you can kill them eventually, you’ll just sit there and watch a monster’s health sloooooowly go down.
Making the ravens like a spell is a step in the right direction. I’d want something extra to give you a tactical choice (like curses) instead of just ravens 100% of the time.
It’s not like I don’t want to press a button once in a while. But did you test Druid? You can’t do anything now. You are casting more, than a elemental druid, who is supposed to be the caster. It feels so clunky and if you wanted to press more buttons you could always opt in for shockwave, something you can’t do anymore, because you are busy summoning ravens.

I’ll second Faethor here.
It’s not adding ANYTHING tactical - the raven just spawns over your head and flies whenever he feels - where’s the tactic?
You can’t do anything other than that though. Forget dual-specing with elementals or shapeshifting; you simply won’t have time to fight/cast elemental spells since your only reliable dmg output is raven.
Creepers are still terrible.
And adding physical resistances to souls extend their battlefield lifetime total to a whopping 11 seconds! Now seriously they NEED something more to survive more than one shot on hell. Druids’ minion density is close to none, so both you and your souls will get bashed frequently. From 80(!) invested points you actually get up to 5 blocking minions that could possibly tank… but no points left for any damage output.
more Raven more hits and Summon Bear with wolves and dire wolves together ! what is a point sumon just bear or wolves ? and you cant summon anything more
