"terror" zones are a joke?

Had a try of new “terror” zones, the problem is there is no terror. Actually is same very easy one-shooting the mobs, and played a Zeal Paladin, so melee, even forgot to activate Holy Shield…
challenge ? where is the challenge?

Edit: forgot… there is also no loot in “terror” zones, killed Andariel in run, dropped Angelic Ring and a level 13 Sword, no other loot in the run, zero.

As I see you are new around here…please ignore Danutz like the rest of us.
He is a known troll on these forums focusing on subjects like: ‘loot is bugged’, ‘loot is allocated by ip’ and other nonsense. Nothing productive will come from engaging in a conversation with him.
Cheers! :vulcan_salute:

actually loot was a remark only. what is dissapointing is that I played a “terror” zone and I feel it like a normal one, no increase difficulty, no challenge, nothing.
I rememver when they added first Mosnter Power in D3, actually it was possible to choose MP from 1 to 10, so players that wanted a real challenge to choose MP 7-10. it shall be the same in D2R, to be able to choose Terror Zone level 1-10.

since you are new, Zaman comes from: Zero A MAN, the cippie one, as she likes to be called. She is a very old D2 player, but is still a noob, e.g. not beeing able to beat Ubers…

to be fair, a bit more of a challange would have been great. nevertheless i like the change because u are not forced to farm those standard 85 areas over and over again. diablo 2 is a lootgrinder. if they increase dropchance, they kill their own game.

As I warned you…he is just a low IQ troll incapable of a productive conversation.

You hit him where it hurts with the drop chances, him being an advocate of massively increasing them, together with /p8, personal loot and other coocoo ideas .

I advise you in the future to refrain from interacting with this individual.
Cheers. :vulcan_salute:

in non-season anyway drops not count now, besides high runes. anybody can buy 99% of uniques with pgems or medium runes. does not matter if e.g. shako drop or not, you can buy it very cheap.
I did not stopped playing because of loot, I stopped because there is no challenge.

LOL
in D2R it is not possible to buy loot?
LOL

actually in Immortal you can not buy loot, but only legendary gems.

but in D2R is possible to buy whatever you want

I don’t understand why you are rallying against the OP’s comments as much as your are! As far as I can see, I agree with their reasoning and Terror Zones don’t offer any significant challenge. There is an increase in experience to be gained from Terror Zones that doesn’t match the lack of difficulty in farming them and this seems unbalanced to me. Just because someone says something you disagree with doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a ‘troll’, whatever that means. In fact, I’d agree and say the New Terror Zones really are a ‘joke’, especially in their current state.

See…this is how you communicate. Teach it to the op. If you’d know him, you would understand.
Regarding terror zones…I mean…it’s your opinion. I don’t disagree at all difficulty wise. I find them just a nice incentive to move from the same areas of farming. Spices things a little.
I find myself farming zones I haven’t visited since leveling my char. It’s nice eye candy. If you look past the loot…there is a lot of detail put into the visuals. This is the main reason I enjoy this change. Makes me appreciate more the work put in this graphic update and how it enriches and complements the lore.
It reminds me why I started playing this game when I did…it was not about the loot…it was about the atmosphere…

for brainless people that means sadly, if you disagree with them they consider is a personal attack… some users here, e.g. Zaman, curse my family because I said something about this game that she did not like…

yes, when they say “terror” I mean, I expected TERROR. I started D2R after 3 months to try this TERROR and in fact was the same one-shooting the mobs around.

You can plainly see what kind of character Danutz is. Pure mythomania.
He is just limited. That’s who he is.
No point in arguing with a frustrated and damaged individual.
We can only pray he gets the help he dearly needs.

Hm. since there are Terror-Zones now in online-games a /P8 isn’t realy necessary anymore. But I’m none the less in for the “nonsense” - as you call it - of personal loot.

Still, it’s a pain to get to level 18 in Act 1 before you reach Andariel without /p8, solo. And that’s still an issue, since you must have defeated baal for terror zones to happen…

For the drops: I also got the feeling that they aren’t much better than the drops from normal mobs. But I must admit, that I didn’t play terror-zones very much, yet. You get more XP, however. that’s a fact. (I leveled at least as fast in a NM-terror-zone with my level 73-sorceres, as I leveled in Hell. That was in Act 1…)

Terror zones doesn’t have higher drop rates.

it is a hack and slash game. monster lv.s ar higher so more change on items and runes in terror zone.s

No, higher monster levels changes what CAN drop. It does not change drop chances. That’s just how d2 works.

wel play terror zone.s with high mf and u wil see its allot better than a diarun or baal

Here’s how it works:

Higher level on mobs will give them a higher “Treasure Class” which will affect what items they can drop.

The odd increments of the number of players in a game(3, 5, 7) affects the “No drop” chance on mobs, meaning they will drop more items.

MF affects the rarity of the items dropped, magic, race, set and unique.

Terror zones only affect the first point.

Well i wouldn’t bet on that. They already introduced MF Bonus weekends. There is no guarantee they haven’t increased drop rates or magic find bonuses in those areas. They explicitly tell those areas have better loot and that can mean a hole lot of different things.
