The Seven Tombs bug

Problem:
After I beat Duriel, the quest state switches from “The symbol of the true tomb of Tal Rasha” to “Search Tal Rasha’s tomb”. I can’t continue to Act III.

How did this happen?
I couldn’t beat Duriel the first time, so I decided to improve my gear for two sessions. When I came back later, the bug occured. That means, I have already finished all other quests and used the staff to open the entrance to Duriel.

More info:

  • Playing on Win11
  • Using battle.net
  • Exiting and restarting won’t help
  • I’m in single player

What can I do?

Edit 01:
I have started the game with -resetofflinemaps, now the symbol of the tomb has changed to triangle, but there is no tomb with a triangle. The layout of The Canyon of the Magi is the same it used to be, I think.

Searching in the right forum, I found the solution :wink:

I had to kill the mage and Duriel in the same session and was able to continue.

Hello

This is not working for me, Tyreal won´t show up…playing offline character for Paladin…what should I do? No Tyrael no Act3…

SOLUTION
Killing Summoner and Duriel is not enough. First you have to start game with -resetofflinemaps. Then killing both will help.
