Unable to open cow level anymore

Hi!

I am unable to open cow levels on any difficulty. I have had no issues with it before it just stopped working suddenly. I have done prerequisite quests, I am using wirts legs from corresponding difficulties and other cube recipes works fine. Any ideas?

If you killed the Cow King, you cant get there any more. So never kill him.

Dude, that’s wrong. In D2R you can kill Cow King and also can get the Nilathaks WayPoint and the portal with anya still be opened

hi! was sfme thing - just throw away ur Wirt’s leg and find new, anoter one will open portal

It does not work to find a new Wirt’s leg for me.

I did this:

  • Play through all of Normal (never picking up the leg)
  • Play Nightmare (NM) and pick up leg
  • Start Normal game
  • Try open portal with NM leg, does not work
  • Throw out leg, find new in Normal, try open portal, does not work
  • Throw out leg
  • Start new Normal game
  • Find leg, try open portal, does not work

I suspect it can be disabled by having ever picked up a nightmare Wirt’s leg, maybe?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I had a similar bug or maybe it’s intentional not sure. Until I had killed baal on hell I always had to kill him in nightmare when creating a new game and wanted to open cow lvl on that difficulty. Although I only tried it twice before I just went on and finished hell so might just have been a wierd thing that happened to me.
