I was running my own baalruns when I saw a grey monarch shield on the floor. I picked it up with an open inventory. Somehow, in the process I dropped my Stone of Jordan and it was stolen by someone. How that is even possible I don’t know. I tried a lot of things to reproduce this phenomenon, but I wasn’t able to.
All I can say is be careful in public games. And keep your inventory closed.
Also how on earth would this hacker mastermind influence your toon in a way that you drop your gear? Im leaning towards occams razor. Misclick and observant co-opper that picked up a ring from the ground.
Andere nun des Hackens bezichtigen ist schon ein ziemlich dreister Dick-Move, um seine eigene Inkompetenz in diesem kurzen Moment kaschieren zu wollen.
such things happen. i saw someone fires his hoto out of his inventar during baalruns. he got it back from the grabber, so he gave the grabber a small reward
actually drop hacks did exist in d2, so everyone saying directly it is bs probably never played d2.
I am not saying it exists in d2r but it could be.
but the only 2 drop hacks i knew before are programs that you downloaded and it dropped all your gear once entering a game and corpse popping of course.
but doesnt need to say that people could find new loopholes.
also a little weird that your soj pops when you pick up a shield. would have rather guessed your shield would pop.
thing is that this is unlikely to happen unless you downloaded a dumb program
