Way to set DX11 rather than 12?

Hello,

I am one of the multitude of players experiencing the “black screen crash to desktop” after selecting Play (which is an upgrade from yesterday, where the button did nothing at all!).

After looking at the Blizz log, I believe that the issue is that my GPU is defaulting to DX12, which I don’t believe it fully supports. I remember that it was causing issues in WoW not too long abo, but not crashes, so I could set WoW to use DX11 in-game, instead.

Is there a way for me to change my settings outside of D2R to make it use DX11 instead? I had no problems playing the beta, and I definitely meet the minimum requirements, so I get the feeling an option (like this) has changed somewhere since.

Anyone know if this is possible?

EDIT: This is the text from my log, if someone a bit more technically-minded can confirm or deny my theory:
“9/25 16:39:34.606 [Render/4] [<>:0]: NVSDK_NGX_D3D12_Init failed, error code: -1160773631”

Yes but if i read the minimum system req. video card “660GTX” is NOT DX12 but 11. I have this video card GTX660 and i met all minimum req. from Blizzard. It would be interesting to see if there are any options to enter on the command line and what they are … I tried to enter a lot of command line combinations from -dx11 -force11 -d11 etc … but nothing …

Read in another trade from blizzard CS representative, that it is impossible forcely change DX 12 to DX 11 for D2R.

But at the same time… the min. req. is NV660 and this is NOT 12 but 11, this is my graphic card… for now… probably the beta uses 11 considering the minimum requests released by Blizzard they MUST leave the choice to the user if DX11 or DX12 otherwise they will have a big problem with many users and I don’t think they want to … Obviously, reading that NVIDIA 660 upwards it was compatible, I made a choice dictated by what I was told by Blizzard itself. Theoretically, those who have DX12 will be able to enable certain effects, those who DX11 will be able to use fewer effects … but the choice at this point, from what has been certified by Blizzard from the beginning, must be up to the user … depending on the hardware. If there was only DX12 available it would be unacceptable considering that I, like many other users, have relied on the hardware requirements provided by the Blizzard, be it minimum or maximum little changes. If I remember correctly DX12 only from NV series 7 and up.
