The anti-spam filter hid my topic 3 times in a row, don’t know why.
So I post all I have to say here: From 2 days I’ve low FPS issues.
I always runned the game with minimum graphics settings (and also using the dynamic resolution) in order to try to make the loading between acts faster (I read that you need an SSD that I don’t have, but now this isn’t the problem), except for those slow loading times the game never had low FPS.
Without changing any setting in the game or on my Video Card, from 10th November, I’ve started experiencing low FPS while playing D2:R.
From that day I literally tried EVERYTHING to solve this:
- I tried to set the resolution scaling to 50 (minimum), reading online guides for the best settings to run it smoother and changed my Video Card 3D settings to make it perform better and also tried some in game setting fix.
- I tried a malware analysis on my PC and virus as well.
- Updated my Video Card drivers and also the other drivers.
- I tried to repair D2:R (it says it works well).
- I have unistalled the game and installed it again on the main hdd (where is installed Windows).
- I have decreased the 3D quality for games in my Video Card settings.
- Disabled every possible overlay function (Xbox Live, GeForce Experience, Discord Streaming Mode, Steam Streaming Mode etc.) and also tried to disable Game Mode on Windows (that sometimes it slows the games instead of make them faster, but it slowed it more, so I have reverted the change).
- I’ve opened my PC case, cleaned all the hardware, replaced the thermal paste on my GPU, cleaned all the fans, etc. (a complete manutention of the PC)
- Last thing I tried it was to reinstall Windows 10 on my PC, it took a lot of time and didn’t solved anything.
I literally don’t know what to do more, the game always runs at 10-20-30 FPS (30 when I’m lucky) on towns and 7-15 FPS when in fighting areas. The game like that is unplayable, like I’m watching some screenshot of someone else playing…
Now, I don’t want it to run on Max settings, because I don’t have the requirements, but if the minimum system requirements are met, or my PC has more than that, the game MUST run smoothly if I run it on the minimum possible settings.
So, please, tell me: what I can do to fix it?
And Blizzard, can you please optimize this game better? I just want to play it.
