What happened with the loading time

Hello,

So, I’ve decided to play some D2R while waiting for the Diablo 4 release. However, the loading times are horrible. Previously, I could load the game and create a lobby in under one minute. Now it takes 5-6 mins to load the game and start playing in offline mode. In-game, having the same issue with teleporting between acts. It’s impossible to play.

What happened with the game?

I’ve tried to fix the game on my end by reinstalling the game, updating drivers, running the game as administrator, turning off Windows Defender or placing D2R into the exception list, and nothing helped.

Well, during the server slam in Diablo 4, I was able to start the game in under 2 mins.

Also, the game is on SSD, as it was previously.

Please help!

Most commonly, long loading times are caused by either corrupted game data, or other software interfering with the normal operation of the game. So the first thing we’d suggest would be to use the Scan & Repair tool, which is in the cogwheel Settings menu beside the Play button, and rule out interference by following the steps here:
