Where has the horadric staff gone

Playing the game using this horadric staff - then notice the weapon in use is now a club and not the staff any longer.

I did not change it, it swapped or was replaced of its own accord.

It is not located in the stash and i would not know where to find it in any location.

I travelled back to the maggot lair and completed all levels - there is no staff in the chest level 3 now.

Is this a bug? Otherwise how do users get the staff back?

Did you already checked, if it is in the 2nd weapon slot ?

The horadric staff is a two handed weapon?

I think, you misunderstood me.
Press “W” to change the weapon slot.

Did you killed Duriel and finished Act 2?
