got demon machine and Buriza-Do Kyanon and lycanders aim, which one should i upgrade and use untill i get windforce or faith?
for frost maiden buriza is okish
for phys upgraded lycanders
but the for the upgrade costs you could just get an eagle which is the second best unique bow (still kinda bad)
Try to get a WWS (Witchwild sting). The CtC Amp is a huge offensive boost. An upgrade comes handy and it would beat your alternatives.
Actually, the best option in terms of damage is an upped goldstrike arch. You can buy it with some perfect gems.
It makes more damage, than any unique bow, except of windforce.
Witchwild, eaglehorn, lycander and harmony are fine options, but they do less damage (AD chance on WW is too low, you’d better find some rare bow with 5% AD proc and 200%+ ED).
Also m’avina full set is a fine option.
Crossbows are very bad, starting from 1.10. You can use buriza or hellrack at the beginning, but when you replace it with a bow, you feel huge difference.

Oh, I forgot about Goldstrike. It’s great, indeed. The damage to demons/undead makes a huge difference and it’s really fast.
A note about WWS: the CtC is low, but it is enough on a Strafezon with high pierce (Razortail). The 2 OS, great deadly strike numbers (not as important if you have high critical already), and high resistances make it very well-rounded. I used to underestimate it but after using it for a while on my SP strafezon, I ended up choosing it over a Windforce which ended up on a mercenary

Strafezon is my favourite character. I’ve played it a lot.
You can add extra AD with atma scarab, but even that is not enough. If you like AD, you should try 5% AD bow + atma - that setup is really good. In other case, it is better to give a reaper toll to your merc and rely on decrepify instead.
Also, you can place obedience on weapon swap, and get your level 21 enchant (AR for strafezon is very important).
I’m currently collecting runes for wrath runeword for 100% crushing blow setup. It should be very fun.
Bowazon is bad untill you hit lvl 90+.
Low bows contribute towards being bad.
WF or Faith will make you great if you have a good itemized build, runes included and manaleech.
My suggestion is you go for a MA build combined with a weaker java, yet powerfull, and use the magic arrow for light/physical immunities.
Oh, great idea about the Obedience.
I did pair my WWS with Atma and I rarely find myself hitting monsters without amp. A good amp bow should, of course, be better, but it’s hard to find in SP. You need to pick them all up…
Is a high CB ranged build good? I never tried it since I mostly play SP and CB does not scale with players, making me avoid it.
do a Harmony bow, it´s cheap and u can do hell with it. most expensive rune in it is Ko. it beats withcwil string by a big margin. + 55-155 lighning dmg, +55-155 fire dmg +55-155 cold dmg and +5 to valkyrie and other good stuff. Tir ith sol ko
I used Harmony in a GMB combined with Treachery for IAS and fade proc, and some crafted gloves with IAS/leech, razortail belt, sandstorm trek boots. My Amazon is still level 77 and is on a pretty tight budget but I’ve cleared Hell with it playing multi-shot + guided arrow.
I just gambled Mavina helm so switched to using the Mavina set minus the bow for now, tried Buriza for a while and it felt like crap and I also have Goldstrike but it feels like it needs an upgrade + a shael rune to be worthwhile, had best success with Harmony so far.
Windforce is such a massive damage increase over other bows and the build is generally a bit weak, so it’s not really a spec that can do well without the best gear, but it will clear hell alright.
I have a lvl 88 zon with max freezing arrow (and max cold arrow synergy)
1 point in multishot
1 point in the useful passive and magic skills
Max lightning fury (and max charged strike synergy)
This is BY FAR the strongest ZON build Ive found with NO INFINITY on your merc.
I can smash /players 4+ fast and ez.
If they are not Lite immune you delete them with lightning fury.
if they are lite immune you kill them almost as fast with freezing arrow.
if they are lite AND cold immune you have multishot to kill them. Not as fast as your other two attacks but it gets the job done still pretty fast.
Obviously you just have to weapon swap (press W lol)
And Charged Strike deletes bosses.
THREE TYPES OF DMG TO CHOOSE FROM WHICH ARE ALL STRONG!!! (lite, phys, and cold… and the cold arrow still also does the bows phys dmg if im not mistaken. Ie I can still basically kill cold immunes by shooting freezing arrow if Im too lazy to weapon swap or switch to multishot lol. I never questioned this… I just assumed freezing arrow still applied the phys dmg of the bow too, as if you were autoattacking in addition to the cold dmg).
Honestly the ONLY mandatory piece of gear for this build to work is razortail (for lightning fury) and Insight on your merc (its very mana intensive. Youre gonna have to use mana pots even with Insight on merc) (Well obviously you need a bow and javelin on weapon swap lol, but no particular bow/jav is required).
