It make zero sense what’s so ever especially because you can remove them and save the weapon but you cant remove them and save the gem instead which is usually a standard affair. makes the game feel broken or unfinished. Its genuinely upset me, how does something like this get overlooked or ignored for all this time? I only just got the game a few days back and this is turning into a bit of deal breaker for me in terms of quality of life. Like I don’t even want to play the game anymore.

What sense would it make, for example with the CTA, to unsocket and resocket without risk, until you have a 6-6-6?
And when it comes to just gems, they’re so quick and easy to farm that such a recipe wouldn’t make sense.
Gems are really common don’t worry about them. Later on you kinda lack the sockets to even use them. Alot of people don’t even bother to collect them.
As TollCollect said it makes no sense for Runes to be removeable since they are the only currency in Lategame and people would reroll their items all the time for perfect stats instead of using not perfect items and upgrade via trade or building a 2nd one.
Jewels are a fair point but you could argue that making meaningful decisions is a feature of the game and not bad ‘quality of life’. When the game was originally made the ‘standard’ was different than today.
I’m agree with the fact that removing the runes while keeping the runes and object does not make any sense. But is there a way to avoid or repair an error such as putting the runes in the wrong order or putting the wrong rune ?
Maybe a horadric recipe to get the runes back and to delete the object ? Or notify the player if (s)he’s OK to put the rune in the object ?
