150 Greater Rift cap

Maybe somebody know, why Blizzard cant give us an opportunities to go higher 150 GR?
PS: I talk about party ladder, ofk -_-

Past GR159 the highest monster health exceeds signed 64-bit integer range. This is effectively why GR150 is and will likely remain the cap.

One way circumvent this issue would be change method of scaling from GR151 onward. Instead of buffing monster health add equal damage resistance to monsters.

They could make a 150+ where all champions and RGs are juggernauts.

Don’t give them ideas like this, Jazz.
They just might be daft enough to implement it.

I feel like an “easy” fix would be instead of making the monster numbers higher, just diminish your hero’s numbers by a certain amount for each GR above 150 that you do, either offensive, defensive or even both.

This would make the monsters seem to hit harder, by simply lowering our resistances/ armor or make the monsters seem tougher by lowering our dmg output.

The only reason the damage dealers can stay alive whether you’re doing 110s, 120s, 140s or 150s is because of the protection from monk and barb so lowering resistance/armor etc won’t work.

Pshaw… who needs supports at 110s…

I’m not sure many of us even want to go past 150.

I just entered 117 (only) and the 1st thing to one shot me was a colossus arcane shielding Juggernaut, in that ruin of Corvus map. I doubt even a conduit pylon on double time would have taken it down. No need for 150+ for such extremes

They should’ve never made it possible to do 150 imo.
Not a programmer but to me it would seem there’s an easy solution, crunching player damage, player health, monster damage and monster health.
Than raise the GR lvls up to 200 and guard against power creep as much as possible, which again they should’ve done earlier.

See 4-players ladder and think again
