Annoying chat box text lingering in the game UI despite closed chat

Why the hell can’t you hide ALL!!! chat box text, but only change the color of it- 11 YEARS after the game came out? Isn’t that abit miserable, Blizzard?

If you aren’t in a clan, choose the Clan channel, problem solved.

thanks, but it doesn’t work. still texts linger some 7 inches down left from the character. ridiculous
