Another question

I ahve been playing with a friend a private game for a few weeks. He is a barbarian, Im demon huntress. Since we were able to change to higher diff levels, it was pretty fun and we were more or less on same level.
However recently I noticed a small problem: I had the luck to obtain Wojahnni Assaulter, and put it as first ability into the cube. Since then my dmg has skyrocketed above his. He found recently the Bul-Kathos’s Oath set and Ambo’s Pride (which he put into the cube) (he is going for the whirlwind+rend combo) , but he is still far behind in dmg, and i can see he is having less fun because of it. Is there any similar 1 legendary object or 2 objects set that could boost his dps a lot? OR any other way before going to 6 items sets , which I imagine will take a lot of time?Any advices?

Another solution could be that you’re friend mostly use skills that benefit both of you. Can’t remember exactly but some of his shouts or war cries etc can increase toughness for all and some skills can debuff monsters, making them take more damage. That way you can play on a higher difficulty or kill faster. He could also equip or cube Nemesis bracers, so that all pylons and shrines spawn a champion pack.

For a Barbarian that wishes to do damage, you’re really looking at 4 possibilities, only one of which does not rely on a six-piece armour set…

  1. WW/Rend. Requires 6 pieces of Wastes set and either BK mighty weapons, Istvan’s Paired Blades (Little Rogue + Slanderer) or an Ethereal Grandfather (with either the power of Ambo’s Pride or The Furnace on it, and you cube the other).
  2. LeapQuake. Requires 6 pieces of Might of the Earth set and Blade of the Tribes / The Furnace (wear one, cube the other) or an Ethereal Grandfather with one of these powers.
  3. H90/Frenzy. Requires 6 pieces of Hordes of the 90 Savages set and Oathkeeper + Offhands, with Bastion’s Revered in the cube or an Ethereal Grandfather with one of these powers, and cubing the other.
  4. LoD/HOTA. Uses the LoD (Legacy of Dreams) gem, which gives a damage bonus for every legendary equipped as long as no set bonuses are in effect (note, you can have set items equipped, but you can’t have 2 or more of the same set on). This is very had to gear for, and not recommended for new players.

Examples of setups…

WW/Rend…

LeapQuake…

Frenzy…

LoD/HOTA…

My suggestion would be that he concentrates on getting the Wastes set as that’s going to be the best to combine with your DH as it has a lot of ways of pulling mobs together (Ground Stomp / Wrenching Smash over short distances and Ancient Spear / Rage Flip over long distances) which means if you have skills which benefit from Area Damage and/or hitting a lot of mobs, this is made much easier.

Your friend may benefit from this…

Thanks again @Jazz and @Meteorblade . I will forward him that info.
On a side note that Wojahnni Assaulter seems pretty op then. I mean I could understand if its a 4 piece set bonus, or tone down the dmg to 1000% max . But 3000% from one legendary weapon is pretty crazy to me.

Diablo 3 has been quite a journey since the base game in 2012 and the expansion a year or two later. I remember when doing greater rifts in the 30s was getting real tough and bosses in T6, which was the highest, could be a tough challenge.
Nowadays you have set bonuses in the 10.000% to 15.000% range, which is then doubled and tripled or more. But the game is still oddly satisfying
