I have a ring granting extra damage to Elites?
Are bosses also considered Elites? … or does this ability have no effect on Bosses?
I have found conflicting results online in different forums. so, confused.
Yes they are. Also rift guardians.

Some are more time consuming than others, and more dangerous. If im pushing and vesalius appears i might even just close the greater rift.

Vesalius is always annoying (just like a few of the other rift guardians who wont stay in place while you’re trying to hammer them down… both those kinds that endlessly dodge your attacks and the ones that always want to be straight in your face so you can’t use your distance buffs).
At this point in season I think that Vesalius is the one being scared of my hero and doing all he/she can to avoid getting knocked out

Vesalius is a problem if a build power depends on unleashing maximum effect during a rotation or else a stack build up and then does the disappearing act just at the optimum moment.
In my case he is mocking my clumsiness and weaknesses but in yours he is afraid of your OP ability and prowess
