can we expect season 24 in july, or are you planning to release in August? would be nice to have some extra time before D2?
Would be amazing if you guys could give us a date soon, nice for the community to know due to holidays and such.

Seasons always end on a Sunday.
Seasons always start on a Friday.
There’s usually at least two weeks from the PTR ending to the ending of the live season.
There’s usually over a week between current season ending and the next season starting.
Non-emergency patching of live servers is done on Tuesdays.
So, using the above, the very earliest you’re likely to see…
- 01/07/2021 = PTR Ended (Thursday)
- 18/07/2021 = Live Season 23 Ends (Sunday)
- 20/07/2021 = Live is patched to 2.7.1 (Tuesday)
- 30/07/2021 = Live Season 24 Starts (Friday)
However, you’ll know just as soon as the rest of us do, when Blizzard themselves confirm the Season 24 starting dates in a forthcoming blog.

Season 24 will be live 23/7 most likely or 30/7 at the very latest.

30 July is possible but 23 July is much more likely (last gap between seasons was 5 days).

Yes, which was a departure from the previous 3 or 4 seasons, where the gap had been over a week, as per this announcement by the US Community Manager…
We decided the compromise was to have at least one week downtime between patch deployment and season start. That gives us a more forgiving window to address critical issues, should they arise, and we plan to continue using this format moving forward to ensure we’re launching each Season in as strong and stable a state as possible. It also allows us to provide a more reliable Season start date going forward.
We’ll see which of these they stick to going forward.
