Well… you can “play” it when it is the class selected for the Challenge Rift… but that’s not really playing.

The Necromancer DLC requires the Reaper of Souls expansion pack.
Access to Challenge Rifts is restricted to accounts which have completed a Greater Rift. It’s not possible to run Greater Rifts until your hero is level 70 and, as level 70 requires Reaper of Souls, a base account (without the expansion) can’t do this.

True… OP has over 500 Paragon in Season… and a lvl 70 Crusader…
I would think that qualifies him for a Challenge Rift.
But yeah… I’m not sure what the meaning of the original post is.
What does “play/buy” mean… for example ? My first read of it was that he was trying to figure out if there was a way to try a Necro before buying it. And, of course, there is none.
