I am asking myself for a long time, and especially now when we know season 20 theme, why cant we remove cube powers? For example just ad “no power” button at the beginning of list or “clear all powers” somewhere. I am testing some builds and playing around with items and every time I want to “remove power” I must search for slot in cube that is not affecting my spells… Its a little annoying, dont you think?
the only thing you can do for now , is lvl up a new char. with a good gem of ease and other lvl gear this will take a few min. then you can keep testing

ever thought about having a blank profile with naked and no skills or cube items at it and use this by armory to have a blank one?
It should be fairly easy to pick three powers that have no impact on the setup you’re using. Still, if you want to experiment with different builds you wanna do it with supporting legendary powers from the cube because they can make or break the build.
What we need more is to be able to deselect follower skill categories totally.

I found a workaround to unequip powers and make the slot completely blank again. This might be useful for those who want to do some testing without a power in any slot.
The workaround is: If you happen to have an Armoury set that does not have any of the Kanai slots equipped, then equipping that set will also clear the Kanai slots.
