Blizzard can you please tell us how you prevent hacks and cheats on the consoles for diablo 4 because me and my friends are really concerned about this since were not planning to play on pc.
The only way for the console version of D4 to not have hacks and cheats in multiplayer would be storing and controlling the character profiles on Blizzard/Sony servers, which would mean D4 requiring a constant internet connection.
The PC version of D4 will for sure be online only, and because D4 has shared-world elements, it seems likely that the console version will be the same. If it is, the console version will not have an offline mode, but it will be free of hacks and cheats.
Ofc people will complain about the lack of offline support, but many people on these forums complain about everything and can never see, or are unwilling to admit, the positive side of things.
Sad but true.
