Curses challenge typhon hydra build

Can the typhon hydra build easily complete the cursed chest challenge in Act V? Is 2 hydras set strategically sufficient to cover the entire area for thr cursed chest challenge in Act 5? Or would tal rasha meteor build be a better choice?

I mainly play wizard this season but also have a demon hunter. I did the curses conquest on a relatively freshly made UE demon hunter and got 351 kills (so I was close to failure even doing it on T10 and standing strategically).
I guess a good Typhon’s build could do it and also a Tal’s build with ligtning meteors and good resource management - if you can spam meteors and move quickly around. Having the Altar unlocked will help.

Maybe google: diablo 3 curses conquest wizard
and see the results.

Another thing: go to the us forum’s wizard forum

and type in “curses” in the search field and search in the wizard forum. Some results will show up. They will be old and Typhon’s is even stronger now.

Two things to mention in addition to what Jazz has already said…

  1. It only needs to be done at T10 so don’t do it at T16. It’s about how fast you kill them so more spawn and mobs at T10 have less health than at T16, so they’re easier to one-shot.
  2. This doesn’t need to be done solo. If you find the right event (Cursed Peat!) shout out in General Chat that you’ve got the right event for Curses! and ask for help. You’ll get three people into your group in no time at all. Four of you spamming stuff will absolutely murder this.

Yes, absolutely. You need to place one hydra left and one right of the chest. I’ve done it solo with my hydra typhon wiz, and got 14 more kills than required, but it was earlier this season (around 800 - 900 paragons) without any great gear and on T16. Move forth and back to agro monsters to get closer to your hydras. I used frost hydras and had only the serpent sparker multiplier. The other weapon was aether walker which doesn’t do anything for your damage. I also took the fire rune on blizzard which covers a larger area for extra damage everywhere on the screen. Only thing that matters is to place your hydras where they cover a large area and not too close to each other. If you fail once, I am sure you are going to nail it the second time. But as others have suggested it might be better to do this with a couple more players.

PS. I can also see Tal Rasha meteor doing this easily. Pretty much all huge AOE builds with screen-clearing can do this.
