Dev Team Read / Pragon weekly cap Diablo 3

Hello, I love Diablo, but I find myself and my friends leaving seasons so early because we find it unfair to compete with 18h/day players and the solution can be:
Pragon levels weekly cap: 800 week1, 1200 week2, etc
Don’t know if possible but it would make the season live longer and retain players while keeeping a fair competition on ladders!

Once players reached the weekly cap, there would be no reason to play the remainder of that week. This would result in the first couple of days of a weekly reset being populated, and a ghost town for the remainder of the week. Such caps would encourage people to not play the game, i.e. the season would be emptier sooner than without the caps.

Person A plays for 1 hour a day.
Person B plays for 4 hours a day.
Person C plays for 8 hours a day.

Why should Person A expect to have similar gear / power to Person B or C? You’re asking for Person B and Person C to have their gameplay limited to assuage the hurt feelings of Person A.

Ofc there will be reason to play, farm mats, farm gear, season objectives, alts, I totally disagree with that and the cap can be adjusted to be somewhere in the middle, where your Person A (1h/day) won’t reach the cap, maybe person B

Mats and gear can be farmed regardless. That isn’t one of the objectives. Its a monotonous chore. People would quit for the rest of the week if that what it was reduced to.

Seems like you don’t love Diablo that much after all…?
Play the game for your own goals and enjoyment instead.
Besides that you can still get on leaderboards - at least early to mid season - if that’s what you want.

It’s irrelevant where you set the cap as it penalises the players that could have exceeded it, just to make the players that cannot reach it feel better.
