So after watching a bit of Blizzconline last night I decided to try the original Diablo 2 game so I found that you can download it for free on the Blizzard page but it’s asking for a CD key?
Where can i find the CD key?

Please enter the 26 character CD-key from the game’s CD case.
If you don’t have a physical copy, e.g. you bought it digitally, there should be a license code associated with your Battlenet account, which you can see in your account pages. Find that and enter it.
It just allowed me to download it though
There was no option to purchase the game
If you click on the “Shop” tab you can find D2 for 9.99 Euro and the expansion also for 9.99.

If you have purchased the game (or registered your old CD keys) the CD key needed for the installer can be found in your Blizzard account.
in the “games and subscriptions” settings.
