Diablo 3 "classic"

Hi.

I liked Diablo 3 when it was released. The old school system, without bounties and rifts etc.

When WoW classic came, i thought would it be cool if there was Diablo 3 classic version too. Just like the early days, going through normal, nightmare, hell and inferno, without any other difficulty settings and other new stuff.

Are there anyone else who would like to play like this again?

No. Played it a lot then and enjoyed it. But that was then and it would feel too old now. Just like I wont play D1 and D2 again.

While the vanilla era had some good aspects, like the challenge, most of the changes since then have been for the better. So my answer is no, I wouldn’t play the clunky “classic” version.

Well i would try playing it again if it was available separately from the current version, not instead of it. It could potentially be fun for a while but i would likely just end up going back to playing the current version.

Maybe after D4 is released and D3 eventually goes into full maintenance-mode, offline support will become a thing along with some development tools for people to create their own mods, like D2 had. Then the vanilla version could make it’s way back, probably with some modded adjustments.

Iv’e never modded a game in my life but i would have a go at learning to mod D3 if it became possible. I really hope one day they give us the means for doing that so that there could be a Median XL style mod for D3, a large scale one i mean.
It seems unlikely to ever happen, but one can dream…

I hope that in future DIablo 4 would have normal, nightmare and hell difficulty and maybe even inferno. As for Diablo 3 I enjoyed the game a lot until AH shut down and they added monster power. Who remembers clearing all of act 2 in one game and then loot nothing
