I play it, but mosty just with my friend and his friends (which also just does friends/invites).
Are you looking for games at level 70? Because you wont find random players when you’re below level 70 unless it’s the first 1-3 days of a new season. At this point in a season, almost all public games will likely be in torments 6, 10, 13 and 16 difficulties.
Also double check your online setting is set to public and not invite or friends only. I remember making that mistake at least once during the brief time i played D3 on the PS4.
IMPORTANT!
I think the vast majority of people that play online on the consoles avoid the open public setting because of hackers. They can irreversibly screw up other people’s paragon levels when they use hacked xp gain items, which share the bonus to other players.
Search for and join console communities which are named something like “legit players only”. You will find people there that will send you friend requests and game invitations in order to create random multiplayer groups while avoiding hackers that could join when games are set to “open to public”.
My advice is to also regularly backup your local save to a pen drive if you play online. I think seasonal characters and games are safe from hackers, but non-season is definitely not.

I play on ps4. Yes I quit playing online because of hackers but please do not exagerate because of hackers. I played a few games with them and got like 4 paragon levels before I saw they were cheating. I get minimum 20 para / week anyway. Nothing bad will happen to you if you encounter some hackers really…
Unfortunately this is not true. Maybe you only encountered some “light hackers” who didn’t go over the top. Here’s a screenshot of a paragon 20000 (!) player instantly clearing a GR150 rift (don’t ask me how, the screenshot was shared on Reddit, not mine):

If you encounter that, it will ruin your experience entirely, and the only option is to reset your entire game state and start from scratch. So, Noodle’s advice is spot-on. (Season is not entirely safe from hackers on console - at least in the past, I remember some streamers showing hacked items on seasonal leaderboards, but don’t remember which platform and if that’s still the case.)
Reset game state? What for man? Yes I’ve seen some players like this ( played a few minutes until I say they were cheating ) but why on earth would I want to reset my game state? For 1-2 paragon levels gain? Really?
Not for 1-2 paragon levels. Every now and then threads pop up on Reddit where people don’t realize how messed up this is and after an hour with those guys they have hundreds, if not a thousand paragon levels. Which of course kills the fun for new players, which is why they ask “how can I reset my paragon”.
If you see what’s coming and leave in time it’s fine, but if you join a rift with those guys from the screenshot you’ll not gain 1-2 paragon levels. You’ll get hundreds in a minute. They not just hack gear to be powerful, also have +XP and so on, so it really messes up with your account.
