Good afternoon
“I had the face of 6yo in DisneyLand watching the trailer, after researching a little bit i dropped a tear”
Ive seen very good structured feedbacks about itemization, not gonna touch that, just an example: got more excited about a blue magic ring with 80+ mana for a lvl 20 Sorceress in D2 (because it allowed for so much more spells, no cooldowns) than i am for any legendary or set in D3 at any level.
I played lot fo D1, it was very good, D2 took it so much more to the next level (Depth in building). D3 went backwards and RoS took it to D0,5.
I WANT TO BE WHAT I BUILD, NOT WHAT I PUT ON.
My first expectations on D3, just logical expectation of further depth in building ( I hope you make something like this in a right way this time around, but i dont got my hopes to high…

Well balanced SkillTrees, better than D2, lets say 15 max level, and every 5 levels you get to mod the skill ( Like you are planning with the legendary items), this way i increase in power by leveling and thats the reason to keep playing, the legendary RARE drop will just improve me and be a super excitment moment.

Lets get stats back, what about more depth in them with something like this:
-Power: Raw damage for any class
-Defense: Damage mitigation both physical and elemental
-Agility: Attack/Cast speed
-Vitality: HP and HP regeneration
-Energy: Mana and Mana regeneration
Examples:
Energy/Power Barbarian: Gather enemies and dump big nukes on them that require lot of mana, but no cooldowns, meanwile hit and survive as much as you can.
Agility/Defense Sorceress: Have a constant flow of fire/lightning/ice spells wile standing still and face tanking.
Vitality/Power Amazon: Stand and hit as much as you can, ranged or not, when HP becomes low, run to next location and get your HP replenished. Only if damage overcomes your regeneration.
With something like this players can build what they want to their hearts content, and there will always be fun to explore new ideas.
Gear should improve you, not define you.
I dont like either the idea to have 5 different skills and needing to choose 1 like ive seen from the demo; that reduces build possibilities, maybe i want to mix 3 “AAs skills”
For consoles you can use R1 and R2 to scroll between different skills, limitting the number of skills you can use to 6, and having any build needing the 6 to be optimal is not good for diversity.
*One thing that really surprised me is that i didnt see a single player dying, if not on purpose, on the playable demo. That is never what i did experience in D1 or D2 unless i played it a lot and knew exactly what to expect and what to do whith each character at every given moment; that was maybe 3-5 years after its release.
So easy that you dont die, is not very compatible to the atmosphere of Diablo.
I loved to reach hell and not be able to beat it, it made me rethink, try new things. “Oh look my lifeleeching frenzy barbarian survive so much better when not interrupted by damage because of so much better Hit recovery” there was no stun involvement here yet i remember.
Better than D3, but far away of the expectations i have for a sucessor to D2
