Hey, I couldnt find a specific place to send D4 feedback so i leave it here.
1- The health bars over every monster ruin the visual inmersion, i prefer the D2 style where you see a darker bar on top of screen when hiting an enemy. It’s way less invasive and distracting for the eye, yet it gives all the information you need if you want to look at it.
2- I think it would be nice to have map-less dungeons. One thing that is very annoying is to spend the whole time looking at the corner to see the path rather than actualy looking at the game. Dungeons could have more instintive paths so whe dont get lost, and then just avoid the maps. Also maps kinda ruin the feeling of open world when you can see the limits on them, makes you feel like traped in a small room with walls… Also map-less dungeons could give some nice oportunity for hiden rooms that you have topay atention to see and stuff like that.

I hope diablo 4 doesnt look like diablo 3. That rogue (new class) , I feel like it is demon hunter in diablo 3.
Other thing is, magic items with great powers shouldnt drop easily. It should be hard to gear up and the game overall should be hard.
Also I hope they don’t do the same for diablo 4 , “legendary rain from sky” .
Dear Blizzard debs.
Keep up the god work, but a copel of things.
1: When you get better, whit a skill your cooldown gets shorter, (eks Blizard level 1 is 15 sek cooldown, a level 5 blizard is 5 sek cool down) point is get ridt of genarik cooldowns, the better you get, shorter gets the cooldown on your spell, ore jump, eks)
2: i relay hop you (BLizzard) wil inkuld a munk (ore somthing like that) in the game.
3: When you turn into a warebare ore warewolf, you shout feel the pain, when the wolf ore bear is comming out of the drouid.
4. Pleas forget all about d3 and focus what d2 was, is was a pen and papir roleplay on the computer.
5: You (player) shout be abele to sheare all your loot things whit your friends and clan mambers.
6: Im a Hardcore player (when i die, i die) sow im a littel consernt on the pvp aspekt in the game (Ill just not play that part of the game)
Thanks from an old fan
IMO, this D4 needs to mixed up the very good of D2 and what the last ARPG games (and RPG and games in general) bring to modern video games.
D2 was, indeed "a pen and paper roleplay on the computer."
The D&D way of pen and paper RPG : you begin as a adventurer and become a hero. The character’s visual (armor, weapon, skill) is a proof of the level up of the character. You explore dark dungeon, fight dangerous monsters, earn treasure and hope to find some precious magics items. Magic items who have to be rare.
But what about the game feel :
If I remember playing D1, D2 and D3, I don’t really remember my gaming sessions. But I remember my gaming session in Dark souls (1, 2, 3), skyrim, Valheim or even Severance (an old game) for examples. Why that ?
The response, I think, depends of two things :
-
The active attack and defense. Your efficiency lies not only passive stats (armor, damage, resistance …) but also in the gamer skill.
- You’re not a powerful god in the very beginning of your journey. You have to struggle against dangerous opponents.
I think it’s better to be more like weak adventurers like in D1 than in D2 or worse : in D3.
And I want to finish this post about an other thought : be careful about open world.
I am a huge fan of open world : exploration, discovery, sense of wonder… And I like the features of the mount in D4. In fact, the idea of scaling enemy is clever because of the previous discussed points (struggle against ennemies …) but also to avoid the useless low level regions. An open world must deserve the purpose of adventure and exploration but has to have usefulness in the game feel (and the game loop) otherwise the travels will become boring and feel empty (Yes, RDR2 I am speaking about you)
I’m sorry if I make grammatical mistakes or if my sentences are weirds, it’s because English is not my mother tongue.
See you in sanctuary.
i hope they dont do the same useles skill tree like in d3 where you can skill all and reset your skills it so bad and useless i hope they do it like in diablo 2
I watched all new things, I like it. But, I am afraid it looks more like Diablo 3. Do not try to copy Diablo 3 in Diablo 4, please! Stay away from Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 will be COMPELTETLY NEW GAME. Stop doing it if you do! Thank you!
Question: Does Diablo 4 use old Diablo 3 engine?
I love it. Looks brutally fantastic. Everyone that says this just looks like d3 is clearly trolling, as it looks completely different. The graphics are miles ahead, so is the lightning and the VFX / char models. This is going to be big.
Keep up the good work, blizz. So far it looks like this game is going to be king of the AARPG genre yet again.
