Hi, I read on the battlenet app that the Echoing Nightmare event will become
permanent which I think is very cool the echoing nightmare event rocks.
But I was just wondering would it not make it to easy to augment our
items in non season mode?
That’s precisely the point.
Echoing Nightmares are a quick and easy way to get Rank 125 Caldesann’s Despair augments on your gear. For casual players, it’s a lot easier to get to Tier 125 in an EN than it is to level up legendary gems to Rank 125. For players that are capable of GR125 (or higher) it’s a time-saver as you get a Rank 125 Whisper in a few minutes, rather than having to run 25 GRs to level up a legendary gem.
If you’ve played season 24 and 25, and even seasons before that, chances are high that you’ll have gems in the 130ies,140ies and even 150ies to augment with.
So the echoing nigtmares will matter more for coming seasons where you start from scratch.
What both players above said, with of course as someone myself that tends to play solo games almost exclusively it is not that easy to get high enough paragon to easily farm high GR’s quickly or efficient if at all especially in Season and this certainly helps to get higher augments and caldesans.
As a season’s theme it might not be most exciting, just as the one where the followers were enhanced was not, as a permanent feature to game it is quite nice though.
