I joined diablo 3 near the end of season 25. At that time by far the easiest way to level to 70 and get the starter set was to ask for a boost. In fact, it was hard to get pug games that were not effectively boosts since I was so far behind.
With the new season, I guess there’s a more level playing field, and presumably boosts won’t be as easily available at least for the first couple of weeks or so.
So, when I log on tomorrow night after work, what’s the fastest way to get to 70?
Hi:
Good question… look it up and report here.
https://www.google.com/search?q=diablo+iii+fastest+start+to+season
Show me that you care enough about the topic to at least search for it… and learn about it… before asking for help.
This may come in handy too: Reminder - Do NOT do the Challenge Rift from 11th April until after Season 26 has started

As Boubou mentions, it’s not exactly hard to find this stuff. Doing a quick YouTube search for diablo 3 season 26 levelling gets Raxx’s and Bluddshed’s guides on the very first page of results.

It feels much more rewarding to level up yourself your first character at the beginning of a season, rather than ask for a boost. I personally prefer to do it in a group, but you can also do it solo quite easily. As others have stated there are many guides out there (using the challenge rift materials), and it is possible to do it in a couple of hours.

Thanks for the patronising replies telling me to look up the answers on the internet.
The issue I’m having is that all the guides I can find are all about the technical mechanics of the game (e.g. go here and kill these monsters) and there’s nothing on the social mechanics of the EU playerbase. From my short experience last year, it’s those social interactions that have the biggest impact on progression.
I do understand what you are trying to say or point out. In my case, I prefer to do Solo until Level 70. After that I go search for open Rifts, G Rifts & Bounties… But that first 70 levels. Run that by yourself. Otherwise what is the point. Even Raxx & Bluddshed runs Solo’s and craft in this game… BUt they are putting out crazy good videos to help you on your quest.
The reason that the social stuff wasn’t mentioned is because regardless of whether you solo or play with others, the mechanics explained in the guides is what everyone will use for their 1-70 levelling. There’s also the fact that lots of players like to do their 1-70 solo, lots of players will do their 1-70 in a pre-formed, private 4-man group and lots of players completely avoid public groups during the 1-70 due to the vastly different difficulty levels their heroes are capable of due to how much luck they had with their initial “Upgrade rare to legendary” craft, if that resulted in a power to extract into the cube, whether they got the right items from their initial Kadala gambles and so on.

It is definitely faster to level up and grind paragons in a group than solo, thanks to meta synergies and xp bonuses. To find other players to play with, the best way is to either join a clan (you can search in game for one that fits you and request to join it), or join a community chat (also in game) and ask in the chat if there are other players who want to form a group. If you have more questions feel free to add me or message me (Altair#2253).

The fastest way to lvl up on the starting night of a season is to level up yourself using the tips and tricks in the already mentioned guides. It is extremely rare to find a powerlevel the first night. (And people get really annoyed when others are asking for boosts the first night)
The second day people are going to be willing to give you a powerlevel but it will be rare and youll have to wait in menu a while before you find someone willing to boost you. Again rare but doable especially if you join a powerlevel community.
From the third day onwards powerlevels will be doable especially when you are in a powerlevel community.
What happened in the end was I leveled up to about 35 with some friends doing bounties over about an hour or so.
Then somebody in clan offered boost, which got me the rest of the way very quickly.
Before getting boosted, I found that following the leveling build helped until I got a powerful legendary weapon that buffed bone spear damage 600%. At that point it was better to switch to a build that revolved around bone spear.
