From now on mainstat on follower gear is of value if we want the full effect of their skills (or at least some of their skills). So most of us will probably have a bit of farming to do to get the right gear and get it augmented (if ancient) to get close to the recommended 10.000 mainstat!
I have a full set of gear ready and waiting for my Enchantress. All of it’s ancient, and every single piece of it has at least a 625 INT Caldesann’s Despair on it. She’ll easily have over 40K INT, which is massive overkill and just done for the hell of it, as 25K is enough to get full power / duration from her skills.
I’ve also got a vaguely useful Hellfire amulet for my WW/Rend Barb that I’ll be using rather than his current FoT, as the Enchantress will be emanating that. (Got it on my 306th craft, out of materials for 307 crafts)

Yup. The first time i read these patch notes i started keeping every ancient nemesis bracers and flavors i found during last season even if their rolls sucked. I must have 10 of each right now all ancients, and only thing need to be done is replace something with main stat. For the most gear that don’t work inside GRs i am not going to worry too much finding the “emanate item”, for example i have enough gold to empower for years so finding goldskin worries me not. I am going to give them basically statsticks. And another thing that i like is, for example my necro tab is full and i have to use a mule, so i am going to give some items of my necro to followers that i don’t use even if they don’t work, just to make them an extension of stash. Same with some other global items. I have for example several primal Aquilas and Leorics that i don’t know where to put them. I am just going to give them these cause i don’t really care about minor t16 boosts. Similar with deaths breaths, i feel that i have such an absurd amount of dbs that i probably never have to worry about them, so i won’t bother with sage’s set either. I am very curious to see what new emanate items they will add in the future, as this opens up a lot of combinations for our followers and there is so much potential to it.
