No, I found it in adventure mode after 42 runs. So I was lucky I guess.

Can’t believe my eyes: it dropped after 26 runs only in my case (in campaign mode)! https://imgur.com/a/p2Q1KnH I was ready to do much more as these runs are much faster than my ongoing Chicken runs in Whimsyshire to find Sir William!
Much better that my 200+ failed attempts in NS last summer (in adventure mode), before the gemstone finally dropped on a bounty during season!
Now I need all the other materials, but I suppose it will only be a formality (still touching wood, though ^^).

It can take some runs to get the other stuff. I combined the runs, so when searching for Chiltara I also looked for the missing objects the other places before making new game, and then Chiltara was the last missing part.
It did!
Plan : 13 runs
Black mushroom : 1 run
Leoric’s Shinbone : 12 runs
Liquid Rainbow (in campaign mode) : 21 runs

Have you seen Raxxanterax’s video about getting the staff?
If I remember correctly the Rainbow is in Dahlgur Oasis. In Adventure mode you can search for the event by going south. There should be two identical places/nooks where it can be.
Yes, I have, but it sounded like a lot of trouble, so I have looked for other tips.
Actually, I’ve started farming the Liquid Rainbow in Adventure mode using this method:
It took me about 40 minutes to get the right bounty, but I didn’t find the Mysterious chest.
Then I swaped to the campaign mode method described here: https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/how-to-access-whimsyshire-and-craft-staff-of-herding-guide
Idk which method is most efficient but it worked much faster in Campaign for me.

Has anyone found the Gibbering on Campaign mode? I’ve ran it for 2 days ~100 runs and nothing. I know its a small chance but if anyone can confirm they’ve found it on Campaign mode?
I can confirm on campaign mode it does drop. I was just getting extremely unlucky.

Can say campaign worked for me, took about 2-3 hours in total to quest to the point and spam the caverns.
For some reason though I cannot find the Black Mushroom, ran Cathedral act 1 50+ times now.
I took me some runs too (in adventure mode). But if I remember correctly I found it the first time the map had the special room where it can spawn.
