Greater Rift Close

Hello,
When doing high greater rifts and we are looking for a good map or when we fail and want to reset we have to go out the rift and then leave the game and start the game again.
There should be an option with Orek, if we want to close the rift without completing it, we talk to him and surrender it or something.
Thank you.

This is a good idea , given that we get one poor rift after another when pushing.

  • Players can speak to Orek to close an active Greater Rift. This option is only available when in a single player game.

The reason this is only available when solo, is that otherwise players could mis-use it to troll people that are still inside a GR they want to continue, with continuous messages asking to confirm if they want to close it.

Thanks for drawing this to attention. I never knew about this option.

I did not realize that there is an option for that on solo, found out earlier today.
But for group, there should be a vote just like how you can accept encounters start.

In order to avoid trolling, i.e. 3 people want to continue the GR, 1 doesn’t and keeps initiating a closure vote, interrupting the gameplay of the 3 still inside, I think the only valid way to counter that would be to only allow the closure vote to be initiated if all party members were in town, i.e. had already exited the GR.
