How do "Seasons" work?

First of all, let me acknowledge that this is going to make me look dumb; I’ve been playing D3 for a considerable time, but never got into the “Seasons” thing. So…How does it work? Specifically, two questions? First, how do I go about creating a “Seasons” character? I tried, briefly and in perhaps too casual a manner, but I couldn’t make it work. How does one go about it, please. Second…Can a “Seasons” game be made private? My ladylove and I like to play together - as we do with our “non-Seasons” game, but we’re not up for multi-player, so, can we each run a “Seasons” character, and restrict the game to only the two of us? Thanks, everyone, for putting up with my dumb questions, and for whatever help anybody might be able to give me.

To create a Seasonal hero…
At the hero selection screen, click Switch Hero
Click the Create button
Choose your hero’s class and gender
At the bottom left, put a tick in the Seasonal tickbox and create the hero

As for people other than you and your lady joining your game. Well, as long as one of you starts a private game and invites the other one to it, no-one from the public queue can join you. If you’re worrying about people on your Friends list joining you without asking…
Options --> Social --> Additional Options --> [ x ] Enable: Quick Join
…untick that.

Well there are no dumb questions, just dumb answers :):smiley:

Seasons is starting over, from scratch, without any gold materials and so on. check this: icy-veins. com/d3/beginners-guide-to-seasons-in-diablo-3
And yes, you can invite your lady for a private session on seasons, much the same way you are doing on non- season…

Edit, I see Meteor beat me to it :sunglasses:…: check his post!

Another question about seasons if it is allowed. When the season ends, does my character disappear?

Everything gained with the seasonal character(s) rolls over into the permanent non-season area, including the character.
You can find blog pages for the process on the game’s main site (eu-diablo3-com/en/) but i cannot post a link for you due to the new forum software.

Do you remember when I linked you this in another thread yesterday… FAQ - New and Returning Players …well, the answer to your question is in that post.

My shame is big, because I admit I did not read it all, my apologies :frowning:

That’s a 50 DKP minus!
