How many players play non-season characters?

Hei there
It seems that a lot of players, at least according to what I read here, play only Season characters.
But how many players play non-season toons?
If I create a non-season character, will I find enough players for multiplayer?
Thanks for replies

Hi sure there are enough players. If you need a boost you can add me.

I play only non-season, never even created a season char.
Yes, there are enough players in non-season. Always public games to join for greater rifts/bounties…
But ya, is sad that the community is split in 2, practically player base is spit in 2 like playing 2 different games, besides chating you can not interact in game between season/non-season players.

Why not allowing season players to join non-season games when they want? This will be cool and both benefits for sessons players(which get some boost by playing with high paragon ns players) and for ns players which will benefit for buffs that a seasonal player has(e.g. clones now and 4th cube slot).

Didn’t you once claim to be a software engineer? I think your credibility just went down the drains here.

any logic? or just you beeing a troll and spread hate?
I am discusding game topis, proposals… … and you slways came with personal attaks. np, I will sdd you to my bann list to not see your comments, sre useless.
BTW, check on Google play store the 2 games that are done by me: Words Fabric Works, Emotes Saga

Okay, you’ve made a small arcade game and a spelling game (!) which is a far step from an arpg like D3.
This makes it perhaps more surprising that you can’t see why season and non season can’t be mixed.

And regarding personal attacks: weren’t you the one calling other people on the forum “noobs”?

Sorry but in my dictionary calling one a noob isn’t an attack. It’s calling the beast by its name

LOL, noob means “new to the game” something like this, is not at all a personal attack. we all were at a moment noobs.

" Newbie is a slang term for a new person in a community, group, or video game, and especially on the internet. [1] “Newb” is short for newbie and another slang term that comes from the word “new”. A noob usually means a bad player in a game, or someone who does not know the rules of a community yet. Being called a noob is usually not a good thing especially if its by an “Epic Gamer”. [2]"
Newbie - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

" What does noob mean?

In internet slang, noobs are hapless, unskilled beginners who don’t know what they are doing. As far as gamers are concerned, a noob is a nothing more than an easy kill—or a real nuisance as a teammate."

Because you’re missing the fundamental point of why seasons exist, i.e. they’re a completely fresh start, with a time-limited competition.

If you could take three non-seasonal 7000 paragon heroes, and a fresh 500 paragon seasonal player into the same game session, with the seasonal player filling a support role so their lack of paragon wasn’t as much of an issue, they could do huge amounts of high-end content. The seasonal player could then go back to seasonal play, and post some stupidly high solo GR clearances thanks to the paragon gained whilst playing with the 7000 paragon non-seasonal heroes. That would ruin the seasonal leaderboards.

Oh, and what about the Era 2020-1 leaderboards? Every non-seasonal META group would take a seasonal Bone Spear Necromancer because they’re so much stronger with a 4th Cube slot.

So, basically, your suggestion would ruin both seasonal and non-seasonal leaderboards. As a games designer how could you not spot the problem with this?

have you seen what paragon level MovingMan has this season? is 9000+ already. do you know how I think. so better encourage botting…

a 500 para could not even support 130+. and there can be some rules added, it was just a raw idea.
spliting community into 2 is not healty for the game.

It’s the common opinion that seasons have kept the game fresh and popular.

Take a look at Maxroll’s ranking lists…
Season 22 4-man Leaderboard - Softcore - EU
Every single clearance is a GR150.

The rank 78 team has a Support Barb with 982 paragon.
The rank 606 team has a support DH with 980 paragon.

Do you really think they couldn’t have done a GR130 with 500?

There are indeed some people that play ofseason right now. In public bounty games at least very late night there are a lot seasonal and very few non seasonal. I don’t understand why anyone would do this especially in a season like 22 where every class gets straightforward stronger with 4 the cube piece. I play season personally. When the season ends I return and touch an old forgotten non seasonal character of mine. Last season I was tempted to go to nonseasonal because of the fiasco of what that season was. Eventually I got used to all the horns, the flashy staff and all the annoying staff of the season. This time I don’t see any reason to play nonseason.

barb and dh at 980 yes, monk at 500 no.

Why would they have a Monk?
I’d refer you to the Leaderboards again…
Season 22 - 4-man - Softcore - EU

The top 1000 rows shows 613 teams, of which only three of them had a Monk.
This season’s META is zBarb, zDH, Necro (trash clearer), Crusader (RGK).

If a support can do a GR150 at 980 paragon, they absolutely could do a GR130 at 500.

you are discussing about seasons and my proposal was related to ns. in season now monk is not in meta due to the fact that meta in season contains Necro(which is op in season) and Necro is very tanky besides doing big damage.
In non season meta is with WitchDoctor(in most of the cases) as trash killer, and WD needs monk to survive and to provide Palm bleeding for Pain Enhancer.
Again, do you play this gsme or just running around with your chars?

Your proposal was mixing seasonal and non-seasonal heroes in games together. So, what would stop the seasonal player supplying the support Barb, with the non-seasonal players supplying the support Monk?

Ah, you’re back to personal attacks again.

Why are you fixated with which class the seasonal player would be? I said a support hero. I didn’t specify a class, you did. One of the examples I provided from the leaderboards was a seasonal 980 paragon support Barb doing a GR150. That Barb, mixed with high paragon non-seasonal heroes, could absolutely have done GR130s at 500 paragon without any problems what-so-ever.

I play non-season almost exclusively - just started my first seasoned character two weeks ago. (A bit late…)

you and Jazz have a very strange opinion about personal attacks. have you lived in a protection bubble all your life? are you considering personal attack the fact that I ask you if you play the game or just running with chars? OMG, I am happy that you had a wonderfull life and nobody attacked you personal in other way than this…
