I used to be a beta or alpha tester for diablo 2 when it came out. also for diablo 3 when only the first act was available.
is there a chance this will be released as well? i’m guessing yes…

You’ll have to contact Blizzard directly on this. There is no chance that you will get an official answer here.
Given how close Blizzard keep the cards to themselves I think there is very little chance of being invited to be an early tester.
There’s no point testing “Diablo” 4 since it’s gonna be a garbage “Diablo” 3 sequel
you were NEVER an alpha tester. alpha is done within the company by its QA and developer teams.
you probably participated in the beta.
you are applying the same way for every game. through the account profile.

you have to be a streamer or an important person like a game reviewer or something like that.
even then you have to go to blizzard HQ because alpha tests are conduct inside the company walls.

- its crap- I agree, partly. as is diablo 3 compared to 2. and as is diablo 2 compared to 1. its always evloving and de-evolving. especially considering how different the developers, its like a different generation that even makes them.

- contact directly- as in work for them. not possible probably because of my location and un qualification.

I’m too old for this but i still play a diablo 3 like for a week every 2 months. then i get bored. or its too hard. diablo4 looks too much like an mmo. even though they promise its not. it just is. unless they can really prove it. anyway this is for another thread.
Thank God they won’t let D3 haters/D2 lovers have any influence on the game.

On battlement website go into your account and somewhere there should be something called BETA access just tick diablo box and whenever it becomes available you’ll be considered for it.
alpha is a game that is FAAAR from ready. it includes ALOT of bugs and very basic animation (if any).
alpha is the very early testing stages. there is no game yet. search world of warcraft alpha on youtube.
no player will ever get to play alpha. alpha is for the developers and employed testers (blizzard requires experience in testing and sometimes a college degree) only.
i know you wish to experience the early stages of your favorite game, but alpha is not available for anymore except for very specific employees. beta is for the public when a game actually exist.
Tell that to every second early access games on Steam. I’ve seen better alpha builds than some AAA titles on release

its not about “better”. its part of the development process.
It was alpha, factorio,satisfactory, torchlight frontier. Just 3 out of my head were playable as alpha. It’s not about better in just saying that it is possible to have playable alpha, just like blizzcon D4 demo

On the official D4 page there is a sign-up button which i clicked to add my b-net profile to, but i have no idea what i signed up to. There is no information about what that sign-up does, i just got a “the legions of hell grow stronger” message.

epic games distribute the pre-alpha build of their unreal tournament game a few years ago.
heroes of the storm were open-alpha for a while for some players.
and both of them are pretty much finished.
so we can only guess.
we can’t know what they are gonna do.
People not going to bash or trash it but. Its just D3 with a dark skin on it. The just keep adding world of warcraft things in it. The are not skilled diablo players. The are world of warcraft people. There company is based on that. If you want a true diablo 2 you need to have the right skill people. And the don’t have. Making everything online add open world is like riding a train full of people riding the same attraction over and over again. Still adding world bosses and making it pvp < lmfao about that one. Its still based on cookie build play. Using the best build using the best set to get max dps or max loot on world bosses so you get 1 way to play the game. Yeah fun? nope its still D3 just with a skin on it to look difference than d3. nothing more. The can promise what ever the like. So long the not change single play add in and i mean not online connect. And open world nonsense. This game is already a trash before it launch. Yeah people still going to buy it like every fan boy sheep’s on the planet.
