This would be a magnificent Quality Of Life upgrade for A LOT of us. Two Ideas Could Be Implemented.
For a quick add, still appreciated but not loved entirely:
- Make a separate storage per character.
- Why?
- Anyone that wants to run more than one class knows the pain. Due to the way D3 can change an entire build at the magical closet, it has given us the need to store a lot of builds at once.
- If someone has three or more classes, they are limited down to 2 or 3 tabs on a single page of the stash.
- Solution?
- Make a separate storage with a full page of storage for each individual character, and remove a full page from the shared stash. These 5 tabs would be more than sufficient to run as many characters as one may wish per season.
A more useful change but much harder to accomplish (Maybe?)
- Make only the first page of the stash shared. Everything else is individual characters. It would be a cleaner look with less back and forth between multiple stashes.
We would all love this to be implemented. Do not let anyone fool you guys, this would be a huge QoL update for people with more a single character at a time.
Thank you,
Jeremy
Hi Jeremy.
Interesting ideas. I have seen these discussions before. You are not suggesting anything wrong or illogical but most players by now have accepted that it is very unlikely to see dramatic changes regarding the stash. Some time ago the devs tried to expand the stash. It went sideways. To alter the stash or add more space is not as simple as it sounds in a game like diablo 3 and it probably requires rewriting some aspects from zero. It is probably not worth the trouble in a 10 year old game. Don’t get me wrong I am not arguing with your proposal, I am just saying the possibility for that to happen is almoat zero.
If I can get a little bit out of topic, I would say that the 13 tabs (maximum number) is not all that bad. Keep in mind that I play absolutely every class. I have 7 tabs occupied by each class. There I stash only the very good pieces that i have acquired through all the years that I have played. There are sets that I don’t like, so I salvage the gear and only keep a primal of that set that rolled with the correct stats. For the sets that I like, I still keep only the good stuff. I am talking about ancients/primals with the highest possible affixes. I also throw some stuff to my followers that I rarely use to serve as mules. The other remaining 6 tabs are handled by me as follows. 1 for gems with some duplicates. 1 for generic armour pieces (stone gauntlets, Aquila cuirass) that can be used potentially by every class. 1 for generic weapons also used by a lot of builds. 1 for random stuff, like rama gifts, follower pieces, puzzle rings, transmogs or legacy pieces that I keep for nostalgia. 1 for jewelry pieces, rings and amulets, just the good stuff that every one plays (focus & restraint, Travelers pledge, RoRG, convention of elements, squirts necklaces and so on). Again I am only saving the pieces that rolled perfectly or as close to perfectly as it can get. That leaves me with one last tab that most of the time is empty and I only use it occasionally when trying to throw a build together yo experiment. As an example let’s just say that I want to play a Roland crusader. In my stash I have perfect primal gloves and primal chest for that and a very good ancient weapon and shield. I know that for me to get the full set ready, all I have to do is to use the cube to craft the rest of the pieces or whatever else is needed (craft crimson set from haedrig) and that will take me 5 minutes maximum. I will also throw the good rings/amulet and gems that I have in my aforementioned tabs and I am ready to go. No reason for me to keep in the stash every Roland item that I have found so far. If it is a correct primal yes sure I will keep it. I used Roland as an example because, even though my crusader right now wears invoker/akhan, it’s a set I know I will want to play again some time in the future.
