Is there a way to completely reset all progress?

I played D3 a long time ago and have decided to come back to it. I wanted to start fresh so I deleted all my old characters and created a new one, but when I went to the blacksmith in New Tristram, he still had many crafting recipes unlocked. Stashed gold was also kept from the old characters.

Is there a way to completely reset all progress and start fresh? I would want to have to unlock recipes and such anew. I’m playing on PC.

EDIT: I know that I could create a seasonal character, but I don’t want to do that because I’m not sure that I will have time to play through the whole game during one season.

As your progress / achievements / recipes / gold and so on are region-specific, you could create a new hero on the US or Asia server regions if you want to start from scratch.

As you mention, you could also create a seasonal hero. There’s likely to be at least another month of the season left. Getting through the entire Campaign Mode (not necessary, as seasonal heroes have immediate access to Adventure Mode from level 1) can be done in a few hours. Getting from 1-70 is something that can be done in a few hours too, or you could ask for a power-level and be 70 in under 15 minutes.

If you mean completing all of the Season Journey chapters, i.e. up to and including Guardian, with this season’s Conquests, you could probably achieve that in 30-40 hours quite easily. If the season’s got a month (or more) left, that’s an hour a day.

Thanks! I discovered the region setting and tried that. That did the trick. Thanks for the explanations!

If you mean the Campaign (story mode) then you can jump directly into Adventure mode (with rifts, bounties, greater rifts) when playing season. Also the Campaign can be reset so you can start all over in non season mode. You’ll have your paragon points and other stuff from older days but you can increase the dificulty.

Yeah I know, but I didn’t like that everything was unlocked when I started a new campaign with a new hero. The solution with changing regions suited me perfectly, though. Thanks again for the tips and tricks!
